When I open Mozilla from my desktop, http://home.swe...3F-00238B8FDCAC} is the address coming up. It seems to be an add-on? Something I want to go away. I want to get back to the ordinary Mozilla start page

Try this addon SearchReset

This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.
