How do I change/make the integrated search bar and the adress field execute searches on google.com and not google.xx?
I hope the "question" field explains my question clare enough.
I have a Norwegian Ip, and probably installed the Norwegian version of Firefox. Because of this, the Google search bar and adress filed is automatically set to perform searches on Google.no, Is there any way to make google performe these searches on Google.com
I've tried to set http://www.google.com in about:config > Keyword.URL.
This made the "search bar" execute searches on Google.com, but typing someting in the "adress field" turned out wit errors.
Chosen solution
You can get additional Google search engines here including a 'No nountry redirect' version:
You can also click the link at the bottom of the Google.no site to go to the Google.com in English site.
You need to set an allow exception to keep the Google (PREF) cookie.

Thanks;), I also found this solution:
Type about:config in the adress bar, and find Keyword.URL in the "Filter" menu and paste this link in the "value" field: http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=
Both the "search bar" and the "adress bar" are now displaying searches directly from Google.com instead of Google.xx
Thanks again;)
