I am attempting, with no success, to export my bookmarks from my desk computer to my laptop. Both computers are on a network. How does one export the bookmarks to another computer?

How does one export bookmarks? I wish to transfer a copy of my bookmarks from my desktop to my portable. Both computers are on a network. Running Firefox 3.5.3 on both machines. Operating system is Windows XP Pro service pack 3.

Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks -> Import & Backup - Export HTML... - then Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks -> Import & Backup - Import HTML... - from file
