Why do unwanted widgets always show up on my widget page and how can I STOP them from showing up?

Please help. I'm always having ti "delete from history" time and time again and am tired of wasting my time trying and not succeeding to get rid of extra widgets just because I visit a site they show-up and I have no use for them because I already have established widgets that I use on my opening page! this matter is very frustrating.

What widgets? I have never seen one . . .

So you say 'extra' implying you enabled some . . .

Could you show a screenshot ?

There's both recent activity section that can be disabled separately, and also any unused shortcuts get populated by frequent/recent sites used, the easiest is to not leave empty spots to fill up: support.mozilla.org/questions/1412427
