Sending of the message failed.
Hi,
OS: Linux Manjaro 6.18.12-1 (Cinnamon 6.6.7) Thunderbird: 147.0.1 Email: google account
Everything worked perfect till I upgraded to version 147.0.1 When after replying or writing new email, hitting the [send] button I always get this error message
"Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out. Try again."
Click [OK] and save the message or messages is dropping them in the 'Drafts' folder. Close Thunderbird and start it again. Then double click the messages in the [Drafts] folder and hit the [Send] button, will send the messages without problem.
Nothing changed to my setup, I only upgraded to 147.0.1. Another weird thing: every-time I start Thunderbird it creates a Thunderbird directory under my home.
Is one connected to the other? Has somebody an idea what's going on/wrong?
Many thanks in advance

looking at the message Did you looked at the smtp settings for the outgoing mail at Gmail?? Are these settings look like this?;
setting server name smtp.gmail.com port 465/587. connection security ssl/tls or starttls. authentication method oauth02 or normal password. user name your full email adress.
looking at this issue with that classic reset
for mac users.
try to find the tree striped hamburger menu icon/or help.(click on it).
>click on help.
select>troubleshoot-information>look for profile folder row>click show in finder button.
Stop thunderbird> cmd+Q .
in the finder window you opened now scroll down to session.json .
Right click>move to the trash.
Restart thunderbird.
Did this behavior changed to good..?
do you know how to use troubleshoot mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird
