What OS? What Desktop? X11 or Wayland? Run ffmpeg -version to see what versions you have installed.

What is your sound setup? I'm on laptops with a dock and the speakers are plugged into the dock. Show your sound from the systray like what you see in my screenshot. You need to check your packages for a pulseaudio / pipewire install. Let me get back in openSUSE and verify the package. I'll post a screenshot

Are you throwing in the towel?!?!?!  ;-)) It's just a package issue, pulseaudio and or pipewire. Reach out to your fellow pup users and just ask the same question you asked here and they will guide you. You can also run another OS (wink wink) from a live usb stick to test.

If you're done, just mark this as resolved and have a nice day.  ;-))
