Haven't used Firefox for a while but thought I would try it again. The browsers I have been using - Chrome and Edge - provide the ability to install a web page as an app, which runs in its own window devoid of the normal browser clutter. I believe Firefox used to have that functionality, but does not appear to do so any more. Is that the case? If it is still possible, can you explain how? Thanks.

Chosen solution

Support for Site Specific Browser (SSB) and Progressive Web Apps (PWA) has been dropped in Firefox 86 (bug 1682593), so it is no longer possible to use this feature in current Firefox releases.

Hi

This is something that is currently not available in Firefox. As far as I am aware, it is not in the development roadmap for Firefox.

Thanks. That is a shame - and a big mistake by the developers!
