Slow to zero response when selecting a new website when Firefox has been on the desktop for a while, particularly overnight.

I have lived with this problem for a few weeks now in the hope that an upgrade would cure it but to no avail. I cant be sure but suspect the problem first occured after an update to Windows 11. If i close down Firefox and reactivate all works fine with immediate response to the new website.

I activated a different browser to check whether the problem remained but even after the browser was active on screen for a couple of days, the response time to a new web address was immediate.
