When I switch over to a private window the page doesn't turn purple anymore, and I don't get that little mask up at the top.

Am I the only one with this problem? Should I download the newer version of Firefox?

Hi, someone just told me that If you are in Permanent Private Browsing Mode, the mask won't show up and the page won't turn purple.

Please check in Settings -> Privacy & Security -> if the Always use private browsing mode option is selected.

This is a very strange issue. Enter about:profiles in the address bar and try to create a new profile for testing.
