Why and when did Firefix middle mouse button scroll get deleted?

Why is Mozilla constantly changing things or deleting things that are useful and replacing them with things that are useless? I can no longer use middle mouse button to SCROLL. When you hold it down or click once and bring up the cursor and use mouse movement to scroll. All that is now gone. FF is really starting to suck. It gets more and more bloated and less and less stable and they constantly remove features that I use. Guess like many I'll start to look for alternatives. This is getting ridiculous.

It's not removed. Middle-click works for me.

It works for me in Chrome and middle mouse does nothing in FF. Already checked all that in windows settings.

64.0.2 (64-bit) Win 10

Nothing wrong with my scroll wheel on my mouse. It sounds like you got mouse problem not related to the Browser.

Well I never said anything about a scroll wheel did I? Maybe you didn't notice I said it works in other browsers. It's a logitech mouse with logitech drivers. It works fine.

Also "middle click" works as middle click to open link in new tab, not for SCROLL.

This was my thought, too. To focus down to particular settings on the Options page, you can use the search box:

You can check that here:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the search box at the top of the page, type scroll and Firefox should filter to the relevant section.

Thanks yes it was! But I never unchecked it. I am the only one with access to my PC. WTH
