Why does the Google logo appear on a toolbar bookmark unrelated to Google? This is confusing.

The Boston Globe is owned by Boston Globe Media Partners, LLC. I do not believe that it has any connection with Google or Alphabet. Yet an identical multicolored stylized letter G appears on both my bookmark to the Globe and my bookmark to Google. I keep clicking on one when I intend the other.

On tabs, the G appears for Google and a stylized B for the Globe. I would like the B on my toolbar as well.
