I installed a new distro, used sync to recover bookmarks: it did, but without icons. How do I get icons back in prefs menu without visiting every single site?

If I visit a website, its favicon comes back, but I do not want to visit every single website in my bookmarks. I am using Firefox 50.1.0 so the favicon reloader add-on cannot be used. Am I stuck with the dull grey icons or is there a way to force reloading? Thanks for any suggestion.

That's normal. Sync and the JSON backup files don't save the website Favicons; bookmarks.html export does save the Favicons.

Currently there doesn't seem to be a "favicon loader" extension available currently, so as each bookmark is used seems to be the only way to get the Favicon images back.
