Hi hwscotto, I'd like to get a little more information to help track down the source of this problem.

Are there particular pages where you have this problem that you could give a link to, or is this throughout Firefox?

Does the page look different if you zoom it (hold down Ctrl and tap the + key a couple times, or the - key a couple times)? (If lines appear and disappear, this can indicate an incompatibility between Firefox and your graphics card/chipset driver software.)

Bypassing Windows Themes

Firefox radically modifies web pages if you use a "high contrast" theme on Windows, and some third party themes, so if that is your setup, you could try forcing Firefox to show pages as they were set up by their authors. Here's how -- hopefully you can see this:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options

In the left column, click Content. On the right side, click the Colors button. An overlay should appear.

Under the line "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above:" click the selector and choose Never. Then click OK.

Does that help?
