Thunderbird links don't work

For some reason, browser links in email no longer work . . . to Firefox. If I change my default browser (in Settings) to Internet Explorer, links work fine. When I change it back to Firefox, no. Links is Firefox pages work, as do Favorites. It's just email links. Making Firefox default and restarting with add-ons disabled doesn't help. Any ideas?

Use Firefox to access your e-mail provider. Is the problem still there?
