Why my bookmarks gone after Mozilla Firefox update?
Hi, I have an MacBook with Mac OS X Yosemite v.10.10.4. Today, when I start Mozilla Firefox it make update to v.4.0.3. After update was finished I realize that it lost all my bookmarks. How is that possible? Is there a possibility to recover my bookmark? Because it is very important to me and I have no backup. It is first time when after a Firefox update it lost bookmarks. I never thought that is possible. I look forward for your answer. Best regards, Toni, an old Mozilla Firefox user…

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

Thank you for your answer. I know about Old Firefox files but there is not such a folder. I search for it but I not find it. Toni
To open the Bookmarks Manager, press the Alt or F10 key bring up the tool bar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control>(Mac:<Command>) <Shift> B.
Select Restore.
Are there any backups in the bookmarkbackups folder?
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file (bookmarks, history) in the Firefox profile folder.

If you use the Time Machine then try to restore file(s) from that backup.
