Dear firefox people,

basically the sound on websites like youtube - yes it works. The problem started on translate.google.com where when i click to play sound, i see that the file is downloading, but there is no voice. The same for memrise.com.

Of course, i have tried to solve the problem with google help, so here is what I did: 1) cleared cache and cookies of browser 2) started firefox as "without extension" 3) udated java & flashplayer 4) downloaded and installed Quciktime player 5) removed firefox and intalled firefox beta 6) check the problem on internet explorer & Microsoft Edge - also can not here the sound 7) disabled antivirus (Avast) 8) I won't install chrome

I do have Windows 10, and my Laptop model is Asus N551. And yes, on Windows 7 the sound was playing. I have the latest windows update.

One more thing - when I turned: media.directshow.enabled - to false, then translate.google.com started to work, but still memrise.com didn't (I have got a message that from Quicktime that file is corrupted), so it's not a solution for me (but could help you, dear support).

I also have a problem with .mp4 files in HTML5 (f.e. vine.co doesn't work).

I attach the pictrue of all activated plugins.

Philip,

may the God bless you! I have spent more than 10 hours looking and trying various options. I have installed tons of different drivers....

And when I read only the first part of your message "In case you're using N version", then i have reminded that I did that when I had Windows 7.

Thanks again!
