I want to temporarily disable Adobe Flash plug-in--(as Chrome allows)--is there a way to do this for FF?
I don't want to permanently uninstall adobe flash--I merely want to disable it at my discretion. Is there a method to do this? Google Chrome allows you to disable and re-enable add-ons/extensions/plug-ins quite easily without uninstalling them and then re-enable them just as easily. If this option isn't available in FF, I'd like to request it. Thanks.

Yes, just go to Tools, then Add-ons, then Plugins. you can enable and disable your plugins from there quite easily. Read Uninstalling add-ons, under the disabling extensions section.

Thanks--I tried that first when I first began having problems--I could not locate the Flash Plug-in. Apparently I was looking under the wrong icon (the add-ons--puzzle piece icon) instead of the plug-ins (lego piece icon). After receiving your rather rapid response to my inquiry, I tried again and was able to locate the plug-in list. Thanks
Glad it works!
