To be clear, I seriously doubt the problems I am encountering are TB's fault! The problems may be my fault since I've grown older, I've tended (believed) using new versions of software present my mind a BIGGER challenge than using the older software/version I have been successfully using? I'm still using Version115.10.1

After our ISP chose to start using Zimbra Oct. 7, 2025 and their tech support could not assist me in getting TB working the had me remove POP3 settings for TB and change to IMAP with their software.

FINALLY someone helped me get TB working with IMAP. For 3 days grrr. Now the ISP says I need to use their web mail, Zimbra.

So might downloading the current TB version and somehow get the In box, all the folder contnets etc. over - into the new TB help?

I was going to backup everything tonight, now I have little to NO hope, without help!

Now today I cannot receive my email via Mozilla Thunderbird, I receive the pop up to Enter the Password when I open it. Can you help me with this. Thank you for your time and efforts.

I have contacted support earlier and received a reply through Spectrum webmail giving me a ticket ID 344188 and this is the first that I have had time to resume working on the problem. My email address with Thunderbird is [edited from public] @columbus.rr.com. Besides the Spectrum webmail I also have access to Gmail with the address: [edited from public] @gmail.com Other contact means are: phone [edited phone# from public] and postal mail: [edited mailing address from public community support forum]

My Thunderbird program stopped sending on about 11/3 and the last incoming mail was on 11/5/25. The folders to save emails have also gotten rearranged and some missing. I hope you can help me with Thunderbird, which I have used for many years and have donated to it an Mozella regularly for the past few years. Respectfully, Richard E. Hartle

After Re-installing Window 10 on my computer

On the 20, of October I was forced to re install Windows 10. Kept my data but I had to re install all my apps. With Thunderbird I follow the same procedure I used with Firefox: After installation I copied the profile folder from my backup and replaced the new one. That worked out well. With Thunderbird, I followed the same procedure, all my emails where there but not my local folders. I am attaching several snapshots to illustrate my steps. Image 1 "local folders now" Image 2 "Profile Folder". (why there are 2 sub-folders)? Image 3 "Mail in the profile folder" Image 4 " List of folders in my Local Folders" The are there, how do I get them back on Thunderbird in the correct place "Local Folders"? I have been using Thunderbird to download my mail from Yahoo for a long time without incident. Now I keep getting the message "Edge: Too Many Requests" as a response when trying to download my email messages (see attached file). I waited 24 hours and then tried again but still get the same message. I am able to log on to Yahoo on my desktop and see my mail without a problem. Is there something that needs to be cleared or reset in Thunderbird? My other email accounts in Thunderbird work fine. Any ideas would be helpful.

Today when I logged onto my MacBook I found that my Thunderbird desktop application is corrupt. When I attempt to open it states "You can’t open the application “Thunderbird” because it may be damaged or incomplete." Screen shots included.

I last used TB with no issues on Oct 27th.

I have over 20 years of TB emails that I do not want to loose.

I have backed up my profiles folders (there are 3) from >Go>Library>Thunderbird>Profiles

My first question is that I thought there were multiple locations of profiles. One for local. But I can only find the above profile.

My second question is how to I go about re-installing? Should I remove the corrupt application first and and then reinstall? What steps should I take?

Thunderbird is not receiving incoming emails. I get a window that says " Login to server pop.centurylink.net with username nonnox15@centurylink.net failed. See image below. This occurs frequently but usually will download after a while. But today I can't get the messages to come in. I Can go to my firefox browser and get my messages from the centurylink website, but I prefer to use Thunderbird. Any help would be appreciated.

I can put the password in the window that pops up, but I still can't get the messages to download.

Hi to all.

I've had one of my TB configured email accounts disabled so I cannot login to it. How can I avoid TB to show me again and again that it's not able to connect that account? I just want to keep the already received/sent emails there in TB but it goes on and on showing that message even if I don't work on that account via TB anymore.

I've tried to unflag the option to check new messages from the Server options, but it didn't work. I've also tried to move all the emails/folder on local folders via TB interface, but this was made just partially possible because TB tried to login possibly due to some still-not-downloaded old messages which where made impossible to move. Moving all to a local folder will let me delete the account from TB and set me free from that annoying message which is also causing TB to be resource consuming, I don't know why, so that the laptop fan goes crazy (in such case, quitting TB causes the laptop fan to be back in peace in seconds).
