Wife's computer gets the Firefox Privcy Notice pop-up whenever she opens browser
Sorry, but couldn't navigate into the previous report of this issues I made last night.
My wife is running the latest Firefox on a Windows 7 laptop. Since installation she is getting a privacy notation tab and linked page (see attachments) every time she opens the browser or goes to a website. I am having no such issues on my Windows 10 laptop or another old Windows 7 unit . We have compared settings, and I can't see where she's always getting this.
She is now EXTREMELY angry at having this occur whenever she's online. Is there some way to disable this? Preferably before she kills me for reloading the browser after she replaced the hard drive on the unit?

Did not help. No indications this is malware. Seems to b strictly a Firefox prompt issue.
Hi, no need to blockquote as know what I said. When used properly it is powerful : https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_blockquote.asp
please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st: Delete your Cookies and Cache and TEST.

then
TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:
If is your Profile :

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Could you check whether the page accidentally got added as a second "home tab". That would be part of the home page setting on the Options page, and there would be a vertical bar ("|") separating the two addresses.
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the left column, click Home. Then check the "Custom" address section. See the attached screenshot for an example of multiple tabs.
If that's not it, could your wife check for an optional configuration file named user.js which can override the normal settings? If there is one, it would be mentioned on the Troubleshooting Information page. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
You can use Find (Ctrl+f) to look for a user.js section in the page.
