What is an easy to use anti-spam program for Thunderbird that will allow me to easily mark new messages "block sender" or "block domain?" My e-mail host InMotion and their Spam Assassin does not support quick and easy marking of new messages.

As of April 4 midnight my yahoo account in Thunderbird just stopped receiving incoming pop messages nor can I send. According to Yahoo, it showed that Thunderbird had access. Thunderbird showed how many new messages to download, but then does nothing but hang and time out. I have removed all stored yahoo passwords; I have removed yahoo permissions in yahoo in order to start over. I get the normal log in screens to add permission with oauth2, signed into yahoo account in yahoo and it shows thunderbird has access, yet Thunderbird still can NOT access yahoo mail (download pop or send smpt). YES MY SETTINGS are correct. They haven;t change since before April 4 midnight. I need this account active again. HELP!!! email to X@hotmail.com with Yahoo in the subject line: According to THunderbird, I have version 140.9 esr. when I press check for updates it says I'm up to date. Although the yahoo help page says as of March 2026 version 148. confused. Bill

I have been using Thunderbird for my email X@plethora.net since 2004. My son set it up. Now I have two additional emails, @mail. com, and I desperately need to be able to read them somewhere with a usable interface. One I had been reading in Apple's Mail app (also for many years, but Google locked me out of both of them on April 10. I have the emails back,, and it has screwed up everything else. I don't want to be stuck forever with https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox and https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/?pli=1#inbox.

I have a MacBook, from 2021 or 22, which needs to be updated

X@plethora.net has one open window, Thunderbird's inbox, and several tabs. Can I open a separate window for Y@gmail.com? I don't think I need to transfer the existing messages.

My iPhone is X, I have an Apple keychain, with a passkey. I wouldn't mind phone calls or texts, but if I'm on a call, I don't know how to switch away (to receive a text) and then get back to the call.

When bulk selecting and deleting, sometime columns don't match rows. eg: subject doesn't match correspondents (sometime additional random contacts are added to correct correspondant) and message panel may not match highlighted "subject" email.

Been using for years...love the product. But this is a new quirk. I have noticed, when I have done hundreds of bulk deletions, deleted messages will be added back in inbox??

First, let me describe the configuration I have been using successfully for two decades -

I am on the latest release channel release with a POP3 configuration.

I keep the message store on my file server and have Tbird installed on it and my laptop. The file server is a Win 11 machine as is my laptop. Each machine points to the message store (including the config file) on the file server.

Of late, every time I try to use Tbird on the file server, I get "You have launched an older version" message. So far reinstalling and pointing to the existing message store works.

But I am getting bored with having to reinstall every time, and I suspect this will eventually break completely.

Is there a way to stabilize this?

I have noticed that since around Friday, April 24th, 2026, that Youtube videos will sometimes refuse to load properly. The page for the video will come up, but buttons on the page will not load, and nor will the video. This started happening around mid-day, when prior to it, things had been fine. At first I thought it might be tied into the 'ambient mode' option on Youtube itself., But even after shutting that off, I found it was still happening at ranodm.

Is this something new Yotube is doing in their continued (idiotic) fight against ad blockers, or is there an actual glitch in the browser or, more likely, a glitch in Youtube? Like I said, this seems to occur at random and I can't trace the cause for it. I'll include a screenshot of what I'm seeing. But if anyone knows what's happening here, I'd appreciate it.

I should add that I am on Windows 11 and using the new version 150.0 for Firefox. (Congrats on that, by the way.)

I'll be honest, I keep hearing some other browser can block youtube ads innately. (Brave, I think it was called?) and while the idea is cool, I'm not giving up a browser I've used for over 20 years for it. If Firefox can find a way to implement a similar means of blocking Youtube ads innately, I;d love it. But for now, I just wanna know what the devil is happening with the site. Can anyone help?

I can open gmail but it does not refresh. If I clear the cache it refreshes the first time only. Sometimes I get a message saying that my account is temporarily unavailable but I can access gmail with no problem on my iPhone, android tablet and with Google Chrome without any problems. Turning off the Advanced Tracking does not resolve the problem.

Please see attached. Netflix will not work. Never had a problem with any other videos so far using this amazing browser. Can we please get a possible update timeline for this - if possible at all?

'bold text YouTube is "acting insane, sound plays/picture is frozen. Can't pause it. Also can't start it! Ads play on without option to skip. I got some notice that YT was changing something, I think it is broken. I managed to get a video to play on MS Edge, but I normally do not use that. I cleared cache and ALL of that, rebooted computer, etc. connection is good. Searches are fine on firefox, Other sites are fine on firefox. . IT IS YOUTUBE! It is SO bad that now with my mouse, the arrow and hand are NOT showing up on the actual screen where video plays. Right now on here it is fine. but on youtube? no.

I cannot find the menu item on my mobile device to sync my Firefox account. When I select "menu" it doesn't have that as an option; it only shows me other topics I have used Firefox to search.

Speakers are not muted. When I play a youtube video in Firefox I don't hear anything but if I play the same video in Chrome it works fine. I really prefer Firefox but I occasionally need to use my browser for Teams meetings and the audio doesn't work.

Settings for font do not help. Font now looks very thin and almost blurry. Not clear, dark lines like always in the past.

My setting are Arial size 16. Under advanced, it show Arial Monospace size 13.

I have Thunderbird on another PC that shows the incoming emails with the contents with the contents displayed under the email list, yet on my new PC I cannot seem to get that setting. I have to double click an email and it opens a new tab. I have used your help and also YouTube to no avail.

I'm trying to use the built-in VPN for Firefox, but when I try to click the "Get started" button, nothing happens. Is the service simply not available for me yet? I live in the United States, for reference.

I am running Thunderbird 140.9.1esr on openSUSE Tumbleweed.

For a long time now, Thunderbird often runs at high CPU (80-100% of one core), for several minutes at a time (5-10 minutes). This seems to happen many times every day, with no apparent cause from my end. (I just got back from Lunch, and the fan on my laptop was going crazy because of the high CPU.)

What can we do to identify and fix this issue?

How then am I protected in any kind of secure way?

All it would take is the Mozilla services using my public IP to lose my browsing protection. How are those connections secured to protect my identity from being exposed once the VPN is enabled and even after the VPN is enabled?

If the public IP can be discovered at sign-in, re-connections, and public Wi-Fi connections before the VPN is enabled, then that same public IP can be traced through internal logs to uncover all the VPN activity done after sign-in, re-connections, and public Wi-Fi access. So, how exactly can I trust the VPN protects my activity at all?

I'm just curious how you setup any protection prior to the VPN being enabled? I'm a former IT Network Specialist I had my CISCO CCNA certificate (Worked in school districts who wouldn't pay for additional certificates so I did all the study work and practice testing up to the CCNP certification just could never afford to take any of the exams beyond the CCNA). So, when I see these additional things like your 50 GB of free browser VPN and read how it works I get curious about the actual protections being provided. Are the people more vulnerable than they may be led to believe?

I’ve been experiencing synchronization issues with Firefox lately.

Current situation: Tabs sync correctly between devices, but bookmarks and passwords no longer sync between my iPhone and my computer.

I’ve also considered an issue with profiles, I currently have three Firefox profiles:

• default-release (currently in use)
• default
• default-release-1

I also used Firefox Troubleshoot Mode (restart with add-ons disabled) to test the issue.

sync-log : The sync-logs show many success-sync entries and only a couple of error-syncs. There are no obvious connection issues (I’m using a shared connection in a rural area). However, bookmarks and passwords are still not syncing properly across devices.

Observed behavior: Sync is active and "functional" Only specific data types (bookmarks and passwords) are affected The issue persists even after signing out and back into Sync, and restarting Firefox on both devices

Checks already done: Sync is enabled for bookmarks and passwords Sync logs mostly show successful operations rather than errors

Hypothesis: A Firefox profile conflict

Question: How can I restore Sync properly without losing my bookmarks, passwords, or other data?
