On a single computer, do I need to open (sign in to) the VPN for each user account that is being used?

If the VPN is open in one user account on a given computer, is it functioning on all accounts on this computer? I have difficulty turning the VPN on when using one user account if it is already on in another user account. Seems to be a conflict and I don't know if it is even necessary.

Hi

Yes.

The built-in VPN in Firefox applications are designed to operate at the User Level rather than the System Level.

Only protects the traffic inside the Firefox window.

So if you have 2 user account or more on a given computer you need to sign in for all

For that " I have difficulty turning the VPN on when using one user account if it is already on in another user account. Seems to be a conflict" need more info.

1. Are both user accounts signed into the same Firefox Sync/VPN email address? 2. What is the specific error message?

"User level rather than system level. "

Got it. Very clear. But I should add, I'm not necessarily using Firefox as the only browser open in each user account. (Using Firefox to sign in of course.)

"1. Are both user accounts signed into the same Firefox Sync/VPN email address?" 2. What is the specific error message?"

1. Yes. 2. For example, the VPN is open and "on" in one user account and when I switch to the other and click on the VPN task bar icon, I am asked for sign in information. I give it and then the "Waiting for sign-in and subscription confirmation" message coupled with the circling icon appears indefinitely. Never get the blue message box that allows "clicking the VPN on/off switch".
