ALL MY DATA IS LOST
I posted a question in here two days ago because my firefox wouldnt open anymore i got a follow up answer telling me to give the crash id but never got a follow up after i sent it . i tried shuffling between profiles and in the end got it working but today my pc had a crash while firefox was open and it had to restart when i tried to open firefox its as if i just installed it and i dont have any backups to be honest i tried checking the appdata folder and there is a profile folder that seems big enough that it might be mine but it doesnt seem like firefox is reading it for some reason i tried switching the data in the profile folder that firefox is considering but it didnt work .

If you try to open your old profile now, will it still crash?

Sorry that you didn't receive a follow-up in time.
First, I'd recommend to back up all the profile folders you currently have (since something bad may be happening). It's enough just to copy the folders to any place different from the Firefox folder.
Second, how exactly did you switch profiles? Did you do it from the menu, or using the legacy Profile Manager, about:profiles?
Also, do you still experience crashes? If so, could you please share some more IDs?

basically when i would try to open it it would tell me to choose a profile as always and when i try to open my main one the browser would crash but after a day i decided to try to open the other profile i had on my browser (it wasn't one i would use honestly) and try to switch profiles the browser fixed itself and i could access it like normal and it wouldn't crash anymore. The problem now is just that i don't know how to get my data back since it just disappeared when my pc crashed randomly with Firefox open. Also, i did back the profile folders to my desktop yesterday as soon as the problem started.

the crashes stopped now so no issues on that part

oh sorry i think i understood your reply wrong, i located the file from the about: profiles menu and just transferred the data from the folder that seemed to have a large size to the folder of that profile but that didnt work either.

Thank you so much for providing me with the link i got the problem fixed thank to it. i tried searching for something similar but did not notice this one in the kb and the ones in the support werent really helping me.
