My computer updated with no warning one night, and i lost all personalization and even everything stored in my firefox, the sign ins, passwords, bookmarks, all. is there a way for me to find all that was erased?

Check the about:profiles page. Do you have one profile or more?
there are two profiles, one called default and another called default release. both are brand new profiles, cant find the old ones
That's strange. How long ago did it happen?
If you check your Windows desktop, do you have a folder named "Old Firefox Data"?
If you check for the following temporary folder that Windows creates during certain Refresh or repair operations, do you have one:
C:\Windows.old
