I Think I Have a Settings Issue...

I get an e-mail each day from The History Channel. Up until maybe four months ago I never had an issue, but recently I get the message Something Went Wrong Setting Up a Google DAI Stream as pictured below. I've got the latest Mozilla FireFox browser and Windows Home Edition 10. I can't quite figure out what is causing this. The link below works fine in Chrome and Edge. Any ideas for me? I prefer the FF browser. Thanks. - John

Hi John,

Thank you for reaching out to the Firefox Support Forum. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with setting up a Google DAI stream in your Firefox browser. I'll be happy to help you troubleshoot and find a solution.

To start with, let's try some basic troubleshooting steps:

Clear your browser cache and cookies: Go to the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner of Firefox, click on "Options," then select "Privacy & Security" from the left sidebar. Scroll down to the "Cookies and Site Data" section and click on the "Clear Data" button. Make sure both "Cookies and Site Data" and "Cached Web Content" options are selected, and then click "Clear."

Disable extensions: Sometimes, extensions can interfere with website functionality. Temporarily disable all your extensions by going to the menu button, selecting "Add-ons," and then disabling them one by one or using the "Disable All" button.

Update Firefox: Make sure you have the latest version of Firefox installed. Go to the menu button, select "Help," and click on "About Firefox." If an update is available, it will automatically download and install.

Try in Safe Mode: Launch Firefox in Safe Mode to temporarily disable hardware acceleration and some other settings. Go to the menu button, select "Help," and choose "Restart with Add-ons Disabled." If the issue doesn't occur in Safe Mode, it could indicate a problem with an extension or theme.

If the above steps don't resolve the issue, please provide some additional information:

Are you encountering this issue only with The History Channel emails or with other websites as well? Have you made any recent changes to your system or installed any new software? Do you have any antivirus or security software that might be blocking the Google DAI stream? Once you provide this information, I'll be able to assist you further in troubleshooting the issue. Thank you for your patience, and we'll work together to get this resolved.

Best regards, Suram.
