How to block Thunderbird updates?
Which server in the hosts file do I need to block so that Thunderbird no longer checks for updates and is unable to update itself? Recently, it updated itself to version 102, which of course caused a total failure of Thunderbird. After restoring the system, I want to avoid further trouble.

Hello there rad We have read your message We try to help you.
Your Thunderbird software update feature should be disabled and or set to another feature.
This is possible to enter for your Thunderbird Software.
It should also be taken into account that there may also be an updater on your PC, laptop that must certainly be informed that it will introduce other functions.
It can also contain part of your Anti-Virus programs.
Follow these steps that can be made after reading this form

You might try setting app.update in config editor to false. Also set in settings>general

Yes, but I want to block the update server. I don't trust Thunderbird an inch since it updated even though I set the options to "notify only".
