I created a Firefox Account yesterday and immediately unsubscribed from all Email Alerts.

Today I received another Email from Firefox titled 'Superpower #2: protect your whole device with a VPN'

I have yet again unsubscribed from all Email Alerts using the same methods as before, provided in the Email.

How do I ensure that Firefox do not email me regarding anything? I like to setup block lists as a last resort.

Hi Dropa,

Thank you for your response.

My options look very much the same. They were also this way when I checked after receiving the Email, but I have rechecked 'Remove me from all the subscriptions on this page' just in case.

Please see the screenshot. Perhaps it has taken some time before my notification settings changes were processed?

Hi,

I have received yet another notification from Firefox, despite my preferences indicating that I shouldn't.

How do I stop this? Am I just going to have to add Firefox to my block list? This seems unsatisfactory. Is there any way I can raise this with Mozilla directly?

Hi Dropa,

I am using Microsoft 365 as my Mail provider. I am getting these Emails directly from Mozilla - directly after I setup an account with them in order to sync my settings.

This is definitely legitimate mail, and the unsubscribe button at the bottom takes me to their legitimate unsubscribe settings. It simply appears that they are not updating my preferences on their end when I unsubscribe from all their alerts.

I would rather not block Mozilla's domain in case there are any legitimate communications required, but I will if necessary. I just find it rather unprofessional that Mozilla are unable to fulfil this requirement. Especially considering it is required by EU Laws to allow Users to unsubscribe.

Please see this support article confirming that @email.mozilla.org is a legitimate Firefox Domain: https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1361509

Not why your side isn't stopping but I don't recall getting such notifications to my email with the subscription options.

Thanks for the reply cor-el - They appear to take me to a page that is identical to the one I've already been using to disable my notifications. But I've triggered it again and we will wait and see if they continue to spam my mailbox.

I do not know what you mean? It isn't "my side" - it's Mozilla continuing to Email me. It's entirely on them. It could be that they have a bug with unsubscribing at the moment, and you managed to unsubscribe before they started flagrantly ignoring the requests.

I have received yet another Email from Mozilla since using the link provided cor-el.

I'm simply going to block email.mozilla.org as there's clearly no path to getting them to stop emailing me.
