Hi, I haven't been able to download my emails for months from my pop.att.yahoo.com account. I enter my password and Thunderbird thinks for a few minutes before I get the error "Sending of password for user did not succeed. Mail server pop.att.yahoo.com responded: Server error - Please try again later." It's been this way for months, I just updated to the newest version and it still doesn't download

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

AT&T requires secure mail keys to be used instead of account passwords in TB. Create a key at AT&T, remove the passwords from Saved Passwords in TB Preferences, restart TB, enter the key when prompted.

If you switch from POP to IMAP, the account has to be added again as an IMAP account:

Wow, thank you, I'm amazed!! I had never been notified of this change and it's not spelled out anywhere by AT&T or Thunderbird. Really appreciate the help!!
