secure connection failed when downloading transactions from PayPal account

I've been downloading transactions from my PayPal account for at least a year with no problem. This month, I get a Secure Connection Failed error and I have to use another browser to download my transaction report. Did something change in Firefox that is preventing me from doing this?

Hi, please see Secure connection and security warning error pages in Firefox

Also look at your Avast settings as shown here: Troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites

It might also be worth disabling your add-on Avast Online Security - Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your response. I had already read the first option, but it didn't really address my issue. I made the adjustment in Avast as noted in the second option, but the issue persists. I'm not sure about the third option...I'm not finding it in Avast.

I've been doing these downloads just find every month until now.

Hi, you might need to restart your PC for the Avast settings to take effect.

Also delete all references to PayPal, as shown under the heading 'How do I remove a single website from my history?' in this article - Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox, then try the site (not from an old bookmark) again.

I can see you have Avast Online Security - look in the Firefox Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions, and disable it to test.

I deleted all history, etc., disabled Avast Add-On, restarted, opened PayPal fresh and still got the error when I tried to download. This must be something with Firefox; it works fine in Internet Explorer. Please don't make me have start using that!
