I have a shortcut icon set to connect to my Yahoo home page using Firefox. When I shut down the day before yesterday it was working fine. Yesterday afternoon when I tried to connect I got a message "waiting for my.yahoo.com", and sometimes a message comes up that Yahoo engineers are working on the problem. I can connect and sign in to my Yahoo!Mail thru the Mail icon on the toolbar.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You may have to repeat clearing the Yahoo cookies if it isn't working the first time. --- You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
