Trying to get Google UK as my home page and search engine, but Yahoo/Spigot overrides everything in Firefox settings............ https://uk.search.yahoo.com/?type=926458&fr=spigot-yhp-ie No Spigot toolbar to delete. No reference to Spigot in Control Panel - Programs and Features. Yahoo/Spigot is default in Internet Options - Home Page tabs. Entering Google and saving, makes no difference. Yahoo/Spigot again overrides every time I try to change. Using brand new laptop with Win 10.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software.

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Problem solved. Used AdwCleaner and it took a few seconds. I lost a large doc.folder in the process but I had a backup. Thank you, the-edmeister.
