UI gets stuck on Ubuntu occasionally, can't switch tabs
When opening multiple tabs, Firefox will suddenly stop rendering the UI. Click on another tab and the page doesn't show up.

Sounds like a compositor issue?
What version of OS? What Desktop? X11 or Wayland? What graphics card and driver version?
Try downloading Firefox from Mozilla. Download, unzip, and run firefox-bin from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

The window should repaint when you Alt+Tab to a different application.
Install Developer Edition (early beta) and you can recover from this situation by clicking the "Trigger Device Reset" button in about:support (when the problem occurs, the label appears as "gpu-device-reset" and the button as "undefined").

You are right, if I switch to another xfce workspace, then switch back to the workspace that contains Firefox, the page would repaint. Is this a known bug?

I'm using Ubuntu Server 23.10 with xfce4 installed, see the picture from xfce4-about
Just for S&Gs, I 'm curious to see how KDE or gnome perform compared to XFCE. Give it a try let me know.
