Hello FF Friends.
If you don't mind helping, I would greatly appreciate it!
I am not able to paste into Wordpress text editor Visual Tab. I can paste into the Text Tab. It Doesn't matter if it's a post or page, native builder or add-on page builder.
I can paste into the Visual Tab using Chrome. My hosting company was not able to duplicate using FF.
I've restarted FF in safe mode and it did not work either.

I cannot watch live webcams with firefox, nor play any games with unity player. Everything was working fine until I had to reinstall firefox and since then nothing works. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the newest flash program. I've done all the steps in the troubleshooting page for Adobe Flash, nothing seems to work. Netflix doesnt work, yet I can watch youtube. Anyone know whats up?

Mozilla Firefox keeps telling me that my Adobe Flash Player is outdated (as I said above), so I have tried to download the latest version, 23.0, but it keeps failing every time (at least 20 times). I have tried and tried to find a resolution to this problem but nothing seems to work. Please help. I see that there is 2 questions on your site that say they were resolved but I cannot open the answers to know what to do.

I thought the last version was locking up too much but now that I have the "updated" version, I long for the lockups I was having.
Now I can't even scroll down a page smoothly most of the time [or up the page] - I sometimes have to refresh the page just to get further down the screen. And often just WAIT for the browser to catch up to the last dozen keys that were hit -- if it actually catches up.
What is going on? Why are you turning Firefox into the patchy mess that Explorer devolved into? Firefox Update after update after update - within days of each other, and all that seems to be happening, is that there are an increasing amount of slow-downs, lockups, and crashes. If it gets degraded much more, then it will be more difficult and cumbersome to use than Explorer. It is actually really close to that point now.
Plugincontainer is getting more intrusive and resource hogging than ever before. It usually runs in the neighborhood of 50% of the CPU time --50%!!!!
These attached images show the scrolling issue -- and please note that unless I hit F5 [refresh], the display will remain like this - I hit print screen,, pasted that into a paint file and posted here - and that page is STILL like that!!
How do I revert to a working version of Firefox? Something is massively wrong with this one.

I've twice gotten a banner that says, "Want to try something new in Firefox?" and has a button labeled "get it now," and another button for "more info."
Is this legit, or is it malware? It happened once a day or two ago, and then again today. (I took a screenshot, but it is not uploading for some reason.)

I can only access a certain web site by adding its name in the Tool "Compatibility Mode" in Internet Explorer. On IE, I go to site's login screen, use the Internet Explorer “Tools” dropdown and go to “Compatibility View Settings”. it prompts to “Add” the website. Wondering why I can't find a similar function in Firefox. R

Hi, I'm getting an error "The program can't start because mozglue.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem." when launching Firefox. Firefox was working last night. I have Windows 7.
I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it from latest version from Mozilla website but got same error when I launched Firefox again. I have tried reinstalling Firefox about 4 times but this did not help to fix the issue.
Would it help fix the issue if someone provides me a copy of mozglue.dll to place in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ on my computer?
Please help. Thanks.
Request for information added here where it will be seen
hi, there seem to be a couple of other users affected by this reading this thread (judging by 30 user clicking "i have this problem too"). it would be helpful if you could chime in as well & report what security software (&sandboxing software, if any?) are you using on your system? also if you take a look into your firefox program folder: is the mozglue.dll file actually missing there?~J99

I was having problems with Pocket; so, I removed it--hoping that I could reinstall it. However, since I removed it, I learned that Pocket was integrated into Firefox recently--meaning that it is no longer a separate add-in? So, how can I add Pocket to Firefox again?
FYI, I'm running Firefox v48 under Linux (Lubuntu).

Okay, so I'm gonna start with this. My Lenovo laptop is only a year old, yet it's pretty corrupted by this program called Royal Raid[another question for another time] but to get to the point. Every time Mozilla has a not responding page, it either closes itself when it's bad or gets back from it. But this time, it was something that I had come across before but can't seem to solve. So see, one of my pages wasn't responding to a script[i'm not a tech guru, i don't know what that is, sorry] so I tried to press the stop script button to get back to my YouTube video. Then Mozilla stopped responding, but the sound from my video kept playing.[ A common problem i have, no biggie, right? Wrong.] I tried closing it. It wouldn't. Then the whole "close it or wait" tab came up and i closed it. But even then, i could still hear the sound from my video on YouTube STILL playing. Like i said, this happened to me before. I muted and waited until it stopped. When it did, i was pressing the Mozilla icon a LOT. [So much that i had tabs come up three separate times!] So then, i waited until all the tabs came, closed every one of them except the first, then waited. The homepage came up. Although i was confused i went to the menu and pressed Reopen closed windows which usually replaced my restore session tab since it never worked anymore, and it always brought back my tabs. Problem solved? Nope. Instead, it opened my OTHER closed tabs that i had closed WHILE trying to get my session back. Please don't tell me I'm screwed because i have stuff for school that i had on that session and i REALLY NEED IT! Please help. [P.S. like the title says my restore session tab has been grayed out. And not just now. I mean for a while]

First of all I'm computer illiterate so I might have some hard time understanding some stuff so please be patient and simple in the explication.
The problems started yesterday and it has been going on on and off all day long today. Many things are happening. First I'm using Windows 7 and I have the latest version of Firefox 49.0.1
Yesterday, I was surfing the net and like always had many windows open (4 to be precise). I was looking at my yahoo news, but then I decided to look what was going on on another window. When I did so the page was all white with the spinning wheel in the middle. It took some seconds before the page appeared, (and that problem is persisting ever since). Each time I am on a page and want to look at another 'window' I see this white page with the spinning wheel eventhoug some days ago I could jump from window to window without any problem and see my pages right away. It always takes many seconds before the page appears whether it's facebook, youtube, yahoo news, etc...
Late last night, I was chatting with a friend on a webcam site that I always use. His broadcast was lagging so I decided to refresh the page but it took a very long time before it refreshed (still does it as we speak). We are talking about 30-40 seconds if not near 1 minute. Then the page would appear only to do the same after some minutes. Sometime, it would freeze a very little bit, then it was doing good til the page started shaking or jumping. It had done it quite at lot tonight. When I x the page off then the shaking is onto the next window (remember I always have 4 windows open). So I have to x off the whole firefox browser! Btw, each time I'm trying to x off the page it takes at least 10-20 seconds before the specific window close, same when I tried to x off the browser. Strangely, earlier in the evening everything was fine and there were no major problems with the browser (there were no shaking, freezing nor problems with web broadcast) beside the white spinning wheel when changing windows.
Tonight (some 30min ago) I looked on google for informations about what to do but each time I was using the google search engine, it would take almost 40seconds for the search results to appear. (While waiting the page would sometime start shaking) and then more seconds for the page to load. Sometime it wouldnt let me click on anything.
I scanned the computer using Malwarebytes and it didn't detect any rootkits nor viruses. To be certain, I also scanned with my Avast! Anti Virus and no viruses nor anything found. What could be the problem(s)?
I'm on safe mode right now while writing this message and everything looks fine and it hasnt started shaken nor freezing and when I clicked on other windows the page appears right away!
I'd like some help please :( but like I said I'm not very computer fluent lol!

I tried - restarting my computer - safe mode - private mode - refreshing firefox - reinstalling firefox - deleting the profile file - deleting xulstore.json or Localstore.rdf file as described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1140329 - deleting the whole Firefox folder in Application support - banging my head against the wall.
I'm still not able to get a properly sized download prompt so I can actually download files.
Downloads work fine in Chrome and Safari on the same sites.

For example, I bookmark a lot of mods for the sims, so I need to tag it both sims & mods. But whenever I add the first tag, as soon as I hit the spacebar to add the next tag, the little window closes. I have to reopen it to add the rest of the tags, and it only happens the first time I try to tag something. I don't know if this is actually a bug or just a default option.

Hi, recently I've been getting a recurring 'frequently visited site' link when I right-click the Firefox icon, in spite of the fact that I have Firefox set to 'never remember history'. If I delete the cache, it returns once I start browsing again. This is the link:
When I first saw it appearing, I did some searches for moz-extension (including this site) and found that the moz-extensions are used by Firefox sometimes when a hotfix is needed in-between full updates. At the time I knew it 'was' in-between updates and I looked in 'add-ons' and saw the Mozilla-signed add-on. However, after the last full update, although the add-on was gone - the above link kept appearing as a frequently visited site.
I searched this site again with different criteria and happened to see an entry called, "Unremovable History Entry". It sounds very much like my problem except for the extension number/path. (btw - I tried to post a reply to that thread, it initially disallowed it because I wasn't yet registered) Anyway - I also searched for the number in my entry and didn't find it on the computer. I also have Ghostery, and I've sent an email to their support, detailing the problem - but I haven't heard from them yet, but it makes me wary about doing any online banking or anything like that until the problem is solved.
Thanks for your help

I used to be able to use chatstep with no problem. I am using Windows 10. Maybe 3 weeks ago or so suddenly, when I dropped an image into the chat, I got error code 713 image cannot be downloaded. I also cannot receive images from others. I used Windows Edge and I was able to download an image without an error. Therefore, it must be firefox. I also turned off my antivirus and firewall and nothing changed. I tried changing most settings on the page information and that also did not help.

I've encountered this problem on multiple websites, but at the moment it's forums.nexusmods.com that's giving me trouble.
Trying to log in to the forums. The forum index page does not require HTTPS. I click "sign in", and a (probably AJAX) dialog appears for entering username and password. I enter them, and click the sign in button. Firefox tries to load the next page, which is an HTTPS page, and fails with a "Secure Connection Failed" error message (see link 1). There is no option to add a security exception.
If I go back to the forums' index page and attempt to force it to use HTTPS there (either by manually adding the "s" to the protocol in the address bar or with the "HTTPS Everywhere" extension), I get the same problem—Secure Connection Failed, no option for adding an exception.
I normally use Waterfox rather than regular Firefox, but I tried using Firefox to work around this problem, and both are exhibiting the exact same behavior.
However, the site works just fine in Chrome, even with HTTPS Everywhere active.

I've tried safe mode / disabling plugins, refreshing Firefox, emptying the cache and manually deleting almost all cookies (just kept a few for trouble free sites). I've shut down and restarted the machine along with doing the above.
For info, I have another PC still running XP that works fine.
Any help gratefully received!
P.S. It just crashed again when I clicked on the 'show details' button next to the educated guesses about my current browser!
