I upgraded my laptop to Ubuntu 22.04 and am running FireFox 102.01 (64-bit) now.

I noticed that (by default, at least) the FireFox titlebar has disappeared. What would have been its contents are shown on the tab-label, though I usually have enough tabs open that only a few letters of the title are visible.

That being said, about 75% of the space is empty on the Menu Bar, which only lists File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools Help Why not show the page title in a pane on the right-end (or middle) of the Menu Bar?

You should be able to make the title bar visible and possibly hide the menu bar via the customize page and make the menu bar visible when you need it (F10).

Note that Firefox from the Ubuntu repositories might behave differently.

That doesn't overlap the two , though, right?

No, it doesn't overlap, that is not possible. That is why I suggested to hide the menu bar and only makes it visible when you need it.

I can see that it's not available as a setting. You ought to consider making it work this way. There's a lot of wasted space in both the Menu bar and Title bar.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. If you want to leave feedback for developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select either Share ideas and feedback… or Submit feedback…, depending on your Firefox version. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.
