I have installed FF 8.0.1 and now my Canon Printer, Pixma ip1500, won't power on, manually. Also I want to know if I can uninstall FF 7.0 and 8.0, now that I have 8.0.1?

Yes you can uninstall the old versions.

Printers generally power on at the same time as other hardware if they are plugged into the same power source used to run the other hardware. Was the power plug to the printer recently moved to a different power outlet?
