Microsoft office .doc, .ppt, .xls etc files don't download in firefox however .docx, .pptx etc. files do. These .doc files do download in I.E though. Also i have tried to see if it is due to the fact that these files may not be set up to download these in the applications tab, but they are with the required application. Any advice is welcome! Thanks

Firefox doesn't even offer to Save those files?

no unfortunately it doesn't allow that. I have already tried fiddling around with that page as well thanks.
