How do I delete one password from autofill for one site?
There is a site for which I do NOT want my password autofilled. For years, I clicked the "do not save" popup but accidentally hit "save" and now there seems to be no way to undo this in Firefox, in a way that seems dangerous to many users. The current site design seems biased toward automating passwords and against letting users control autofilling. So in this way Firefox has become worse recently, at least for me.

Actually, auto-filling forms and saving logins/passwords are different things. E.g., I disabled the option to save/remember logins and passwords, but Firefox still remembers my username in websites when I start typing them in the respective fields.
Also, if you don't want Firefox to ask you about saving the password for a specific site, you can select the appropriate option when the menu shows up.

Greetings.
First, you need to access the Logins & Passwords page (AKA Firefox Lockwise), by doing ONE of the following:
1- easier/faster: simply type about:logins in the address bar and press enter (just like you would do to access any website);
2- slower: click Preferences (in the menu opened by clicking the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner), then Privacy & Security in the left panel, and finally Saved Logins (under Logins and Passwords)
The panel located on the left contains all saved logins. Select and delete the one you want.
Thank you. BTW apparently it is not possible to leave the password field blank and save it. Instead you must delete the entire login profile for that site, clicking Yes to a scary warning prompt, then go to the site and log in to generate a new one. It seems like it would be better UX practice to allow people to delete the password for the box and save it as blank, possibly triggering a confirmation query popup when doing so.

OK Thanks.
