Thunderbird Archive Folder - Duplicating emails?

It seems as thought the Thunderbird "Archive" folder is actually reflecting my Gmail "All Mail" folder (which includes mail w/o regard to labels). However, is the Archive… (xem thêm)

It seems as thought the Thunderbird "Archive" folder is actually reflecting my Gmail "All Mail" folder (which includes mail w/o regard to labels). However, is the Archive folder duplicating these emails on my PC, i.e. is there a copy of each Inbox email, etc? This would double the size it takes up on my PC. Or is it simply acting like the "All Mail" folder online - reflecting all emails.

I must have hit the wrong key using a message and all of a sudden Thunderbird has renamed my All Mail folder to Archives. I have spent a large number of hours trying to self-help, but alas, I am at my wits end. At this point in time I have two folders named Archives, one with all my messages and one that is empty. I even uninstalled and downloaded Thunderbird onto my Windows 11 desktop PC. Anyone care to help an old IT software developer? My objective it to somehow get back to having only one All Mail folder

I have recently lost my "All Mail" folder, and have read the previous solution to highlight the account, right click "Subscribe" and then click the "All Mail" box. My "All Mail" box was already checked! What can be done to restore it since it was checked all along?

We have about 40 people still using Thunderbird with Exchange Online. One person is seeing many empty grayed-out folders and subfolders in Thunderbird. If you try to delete them, they come back. If you try to unsubscribe the folder, it comes back. They persist from client to client, computer to computer. Logging directly into Exchange Online using OWA does not show the folders. Unchecking "Show only subscribed folders" causes them to disappear." But they still show up if you right click on the account and click Subscribe. I have already opened a case with Microsoft and they say it's a client issue and not an Exchange Online issue.

Just deleted all the files in my archive folder which also deleted all my inbox files, why has this happened ? I don't want an Archive Folder. Have tried to remove it by unchecking box in Account Settings, Copies and Folders, this does not work . I have lost everything in Inbox, and Sent. Brilliant Result from something I do not need and did not set up.

All of the Gmail acct archive folders are filling up with random inbox emails that I did not archive. The one none Gmail account is not. My archive folders on Gmail only have the emails I have archived. Why is this happening????

Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. Also, I downloads a few old emails from September 2. If I delete them, they re-download when I click on get mail. I do get mail on my phone and on the Xfinity web site. I really don't know where to go, but I hope you can help. I do realize that when two products are involved it is 'THE OTHER GUY causing my problem. I've encountered it in the past. I use Mailwasher Pro to preview my incoming mail. It marks some important mails as Comcast/junk. I delete the real junk and leave those on the list of mails I want to download, and decide whether those are worth keeping (many are) after fully reading them. Thunderbird bypasses these on my incoming mail list. It seems to me that if there is mail to download, Thunderbird should do exactly that. How can I manage this, please?
