I recently replaced my Mail with Thunderbird. The left pane successfully loaded my mail folders but now I want t create new folders and insert them alphabetically. How do I d this?

My former email provider ( first light) is a huge failing mess and they cannot fix my email service. I am trying to set up a new email address with mailfence as server/provider and Thunderbird as the ap. I set up a free account( plan to upgrade if all works well) at mailfence with a new email address, XXXX, and a macbook-pro generated password. I downloaded and opened Tbird and entered my new email address, but it would not accept the password for that mailfence email account. I also tried my former email service password which also failed.

 What can I do now?

Please help me. I have 2 comcast accounts and 1 gmail account and 1 yahooaccount. I am an old Lady How do I set up each account and does one outgoing server handle all the emails. I have tried everything for hours Yahoo keeps asking me to sign in. Hi! Since I've installed Thunderbird on my new computer with Windows 11, I've now twice experienced the disappearance from my inbox of a bunch of emails. Never had this before with Thunderbird. Could it be something needs doing in Settings (I couldn't find any relevant options)? The emails weren't among the newest, but they were all important.

Hi I am having problems signing into or adding my tpg account email address through both outlook and thunderbird. My address and passwords are correct and I have used the settings in both email programs as listed by the messaging company. The error message I am getting is that on thunder bird it cannot find the settings for my emaill account and on outlook it cant find the settings. I have had ongoing issues with my tpg account, this one is a pop3, since the messaging co took over the emails when tpg moved them to there. Issues are that i get very sporadic emails ie one week working the next nothing for long periods of time. I can successfully add gmail accounts to thunderbird and outlook without problems but the tpg one is my issue. I can get tpg emails through the gmail app on my phone with pop 3 settings but nothing on thunderbird. I have contacted the messaging co for help but other than settings they cannot help and suggested coming to thunderbird for help. I prefer to use thunderbird as my email program to have everything on one would be great again. Can anyone offer advice or assistance I would greatfully appreciate it

I know TB used to have a command to search for duplicate messages. Now, after installing the program again, I cannot find this command anymore. Why? Is it me or has it been removed? Thanks.

I have been very frustrated over the years working with tables in TB. I have now encountered a situation I can't solve.

I have a table already create in a draft message. I want to copy some of the cells from Excel into the cells of the email's table. But everything I've tried creates a new table with those copied cells. If I select the first cell of the target table, a table is create within that cell. At that point it is difficult to undo the paste or restore the table to the condition it was before the paste. If I copy tab and/or paragraph separated text it just pastes it into one cell.

Questions:

• How can I copy and paste several table items from one app to another?
• What are the ways to delete rows in a table that has had a table inserted into a cell?

An Undo will not remove the table or the 'missing' cells in the right column. Here is an example of the issue:

Last: Earlier versions Thunderbird can import Outlook Templates - anyone knows how??? Example: I want to send my mom a Mother's Day email with a nice background but the background does not have to be animated - how would I go about that? I have plenty of email templates from Outlook 95/XP - just not sure how to import and use.

Currently my Thunderbird 'Sent' mailbox is only holding emails back to the beginning of 2025. However on previous PC's my Sent mail went farther back, but not I think to the beginning of when I bought the PC. I do backup my PC with some regularity but I am wondering whether there is a limit to how far back Thunderbird saves messages. I've been using Thunderbird for about 20 years and wonder whether I can retrieve some of my great emails :)

I deleted over 300,000 emails from my trash. It now tells me I have a couple thousand files left. however, before the massive delete, it said I was using 15 GB of storage. now, with only 2000 files left, it still says I have 15 GB used. I've tried compacting, but I get an error, saying I do not have enough memory to compact. How to I release all that memory that contains just ghost files?

I downloaded all my emails from my .com mailbox into Mozilla Thunderbird. I could see all of them for about three days, and I was very happy to have them stored locally, as I am planning to move my mailbox elsewhere.

However, today all folders appear empty in Thunderbird and I can no longer see the emails, even though I can see that the files are still stored on my computer.

I have been trying for hours to solve this problem with the help of AI, but without success.

Could you please help me restore or display the emails that were downloaded locally?

I made a folder and saved emails in that folder. A few days later they were all gone, empty folder. I followed suggestions on here, did the repair, erased password and replaced it, did the subscribe, and now even the folder is gone. I spent hours trying to research this and repair it and now I have nothing.
