With a new Thunderbird installation on Windows 10 Pro, I attempted to import my profile data from a Postbox on another machine. The process failed, citing two errors (see attached screen shot), EmptyDatabase Error: "blocklists/addons-bloomfilters" has not been synced yet Uncaught NS_ERROR_FILE_NO_DEVICE_SPACE: Component returned failure code: 0X805200010

The profile being imported is pretty large -- around 20Gb, so I wonder whether I have surpassed some capacity limit. I was doing this via the Import Tool on the Tools menu.

Porting my legacy mail folders is crucial. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Home Mozilla Thunderbird (Not Responding) is all I see on the screen.

I have rebooted, reinstalled and still cannot get Thunderbird to start. I have not touched the C:/Users/.../AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird data (where I assume the problem is).

Ended up building a small add-on myself since nothing else out there worked anymore. It makes every global search open directly as a list, no more clicking "Show results as list" every time.

Free, open source, no data collection. Can't be listed on addons.thunderbird.net right now (Mozilla's paused reviewing new add-ons that use Experiment APIs), so it's a manual install for now. Apparently this is getting built into Thunderbird natively from version 154 (bug 580252), so this is really just a bridge until then.

It was working fine on the new computer until yesterday. Now I get a pop-up box that says: ' Unable to connect The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure Thunderbird is permitted to access the web.

When I send an email, a window pops up that shows the sending progress. Emails appear to send and save to the sent folder just fine, but the window doesn't close and will remain open until I press the cancel button. Is it possible to fix this?

I have frequent problems with message filter settings and these problems have been occurring through several of the last Thunderbird versions. All message filters frequently lose "Move message to.." information. "Enabled" check boxes become unchecked "Run selected filter(s) on:... " specified file keeps changing.

This will make more sense if you look at the attached images first. If I create two one-hour appointments back to back on the same day--meaning the first appointment ends at the same time the next one begins (or with a 1 min gap), and then I look at my calendar in Week view, I'll see 2 full-column 1-hour blocks stacked one above the other as in the "1hr appt.png" attached. This appears to be the correct way it should appear.

But if the earlier appointment is only 30 minutes, they appear differently, as in the other image "30min appt.png". squeezed into two columns. I would like them to appear as a single, full column (as with the 1 hour appointments), which it does in the Day view.

Is this a bug? Can I change this behavior?

I've successfully connected to a hosted Exchange server through EWS and NTLM authentication (kudos BTW). But there is a problem - often during operations against EWS I'm presented with "Login to account XXX failed" "Login to server YYY with account XXX failed". I can ignore it (cancel) and it will work for seconds or minutes but eventually reappear. Sometimes it's very frequent, sometimes is here and there. TL;DR; connection works, I can read directories and e-mails.

From looking at development tools I see these scenarios: 1. POST requests return 200 always (no messsage of course) 2. Eventually a POST would return 401. Then Thunderbird issues a GET, it returns 401 as well but response includes header WWW-Authenticate: NTLM XXXXXX. Then another GET is issued containing header "Authorization" with the value from previous response. This time it gets 200 and continues without POST requests without a dialog. 3. Sometimes there are more POST requests with 401 (I assume in parallel) before a GET is issued and then I see a dialog. Sometimes it recovers (regardless of whether I cancel or retry), sometimes gets stuck with 401 with dialog reappearing each time it tries something. This case it's similar in sense that thunderbird issues GET with 401 and WWW-Authenticate header, issues another GET with Authenticate header but still gets 401.

If I had to guess I'd say the problem happens when POST requests are issued in parallel, not sequentially. OTOH it might be a problem at the server, but it isn't very likely.

I set up a new email and must have done something wrong. I'm getting this message: he STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.

What do I do?

I reinstalled Thunderbird and now it tries to access my gmail account even though I didn't add it. I only use gmail when I log into it from a web site. I don't want thunderbird to have access.

I have been a Thunderbird user for many years, although I stopped updating with 102.15.1 (64 bit) as the new features and benefits did not provide a benefit. In the past few months, emails in my Inbox have disappeared, without being manually deleted. Typically the Inbox will keep emails from today and dated back to about six weeks earlier. Everything else is gone but still on the Rackspace ISP. I have Thunderbird running on two PCs (office and home), one iPad and my iPhone.

My account settings are IMAP, SSL/TTS, and message sync don't delete anything.

I have reviewed suggestions online regarding fixing this; including reindexing, changing settings, etc. but nothing has worked. I know that I can create local folders and save a copy there but I did not have this problem before and it is inconvenient to have to save copies, then remember to look at the saved folder instead of the inbox. According to the tech folks at Rackspace the issue is either within my system setup or some change to the Thunderbird program (although I am still running 102.15.1). My preference is to restore the program to its original functionality instead of creating work arounds. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

On Saturday morning 27 June 2026 I tried to login my Orcon email account via Thunderbird (which I have been using for a long time). But my login didn't work, I got a message saying "login to POP3.orcon.net.nz with username habitation failed." On 30th June 2026 I reported the problem to Orcon.

Orcon gave me the following settings for Thunderbird. I have done that and even made a new account: Incoming Server Type: IMAP Mail Server: imap.orcon.net.nz Port: 143 SSL: Off Authentication: On (username and password required)

Outgoing SMTP Server: Mail Server: smtp.orcon.net.nz Port: 25 SSL: Off Authentication: Off

Since then I have spent many hours and going around in circles with Orcon's Technical Support to resolve this, but no luck. They blame Thunderbird. I used Thunderbird Troubleshoot Mode. The message that comes up reads: login to server mail orcon.net.nz with username habitation failed. Please can you check that your server settings above are correct? And if there is a bug? Irma

I am migrating from thunderbird flatpak to thunderbird linux repository and the British English dictionary, which is included in the flatpak version, isn't included in the linux repo version.

I can see there are two different British English dictionaries in the "dictionary and language packs" page.

Please can anyone help and tell me which British English dictionary is included in the flatpak thunderbird? I would like to use it with the linux repo version, I like that dictionary.
