Why would the developers of Firefox remove the ability to select where an attachment can be saved?

This is like going back to the dark ages of web browsing.

I receive many attachments for my job, I don't want them all to save in the same location. It's a pain to have to retrieve them from my "Downloads" (or whatever) folder, to put them where they belong. This is not a small thing. It's a real pain to have everything go to the same location.

Other browsers allow you to choose where to save a particular file. I think Firefox used to allow that, too. Why would you change this?

I use Firefox for my work emails, but I think I will need to switch to another browser. 

I support a number of people in my job. I have been recommending Firefox to use. That will stop now.

Hello - downloads have started on my Mac desktop - do not know what they are - and they seem to be ever 4 hours. I have attached a screenshot of my download file. Any advice would be appreciated.
