Hi, I am using Firefox vsn 120 for Linux Mint. I believe that I have the privacy and security set with the default settings.

However, Firefox seems to forget the information stored by websites, so that can't simply login.

Each. And. Every. Time. I have to go through the process of re-introducing myself to the security of the website provider who insists on sending me emails, SMS messages, etc. with codes to confirm who I am.

This applies, every time I use a site that requires a login (bank, BBC, Fidelity, eBay, Facebook....).

Once I have been approved on a site, then my login seems to work for a few days, up to a week and then off we go again with a new set of security codes. My settings do not delete cookies, and firefox is never closed, except if the PC needs a reboot, which is rare.

I would appreciate any help in settings that would allow me to use Firefox normally without having to enter security codes. Cheers, Mark

In "about:policies" there are 2 Active Policies: "DisableTelemetry", and "DisableDefaultBrowserAgent" Also, in "about:policies" I'm not sure if it's related, but there is a long list of policies there too.

I have checked box in settings/passwords to save pws but when I return to settings it is unchecked again. Have cleared cookies and history, refeshed it. uninstalled and reinstalled, uninstalled and removed allsettings history but still no improvement. Usin BRAVE as alternative at moment as that does actually work properly

I paid Mozilla $114.35 for enhanced antitracking support but I still get Norton alerts saying I'm being tracked. Was I scammed or is the enhanced antitracking not working?

I was able to get rid of remembered user id data in Chrome (delete site data) with no problems, but have tried all I can find in Firefox with no luck. Please tell me how to do it. There is no saved login data in Firefox and deleting site data does not help. Thanks, John.

This is the message I get. "Please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com to proceed." I can do nothing.

Things I've tried. Adding exceptions in the privacy settings in 2 seperate areas. Resetting Browser deafults. Turning off all vpn's and addons.

Nothing works.

Hi I have been using firefox on linux for a while without updating it. We are artsellers and I used to be able to log in and out of an artplatform without any problems. It's now been a few weeks since logging out is not possible any more on this platform which means that I am constantly logged in which I really do not want. The menu does not work anymore on this side whereas it works with other browers. I already contacted the platform. They cannot do anything about it themselves and asked me to contact your team. hi, well I deleted and distrusted a certificate. now I'm trying to import the same certificate but it doesn't work. when i add the certificate i does not show anything on the certs list.

I've discovered it has something to do with Amazon.

I didn't know I had it until I just migrated to Windows 10 and a new firefox update occurred.

Even then, my only clue is a little orange "triangle" that shows up at the top line of the 'hamburger' menu at the top right on the screen. When I clicked on it, I got a message saying "Silk Privacy Pass wants to update".

I went to my installed extensions/themes screen and there is nothing about a silk extension or add-on.

It also showed up when I looked in the startup configuration and it showed it was loading during startup there. I disabled it. But today I just got the orange triangle again an hour ago wanting me to let it update.

I want it gone!! Especially when it showed up on my system without my asking or knowingly agreeing to it.

FWIW, I also ran Agent Ransack (search utility) on the drives and "Silk" does not come up as a file name for an app, DLL or any other file.

Since pretty much the beginning of the internet, pop-ups were deemed a significant annoyance, so much so it diminished and ruined the users’ browsing experience and significantly reduced efficiencies. Hence the addition of pop-up blocking settings to all browsers long ago.

However, for some unknown reason Firefox gives Google a free pass and allows their “sign-in” pop-up that pop-ups seemingly on every website you visit where you then have to then manually close the pop-up on pretty much every single website you visit - even though you have the pop-up blocker setting on ( and the only way to turn off a pop-up blocker is to specifically add a website to allow for pop-ups).

This is absolutely horrible and not acceptable. If you have the pop-up setting on, no pop-up should be allowed to get through no matter what it is or the source. If you allow one pop-up to continue then you should be allowing hundreds of thousands of other pop-ups as well. But you wouldn’t as you know this would be unacceptable, but again, somehow Firefox allows Google’s pop-up to go through and it pop-ups on pretty much every single website you visit.

Note that I selected Privacy and Security Setting as the "topic" above as that is were Firefox has it's pop-up setting (and where you can add exceptions to allow pop-ups for specific websites)

When attempting to update my Mozilla account from my Firefox settings, I was unable to add my secondary email address because of an error message stating that the secondary email account exists...

Repeating this action in case of a bug resulted in being locked out of that particular window.

I have no idea what that error message means, nor how to circumnavigate it. Please help!

One screenshot shows an image from the faa.gov website from Chrome that is clean and easy to read. The other image shows the same website from Firefox, with the menu popups already activated when I have not selected or hovered the mouse over anything. They just open automatically, and I cannot make them go away. Screen is cluttered, making this webpage unreadable and unnavigable. Other pages on website do the same in Firefox. This DOES NOT HAPPEN in Chrome. Some setting is off. All selections I have found for popups make no difference. This happens with other websites. How do I fix this?

Why am i seeing this, and how can I get it to where I am the one controlling my browser and not an "organization" I don't know? This was the big issue I have had in the past with your browser. I cannot find a way to change it.
