I am experiencing a significant issue with my website, which fails to load when accessed via Google Chrome. The website works perfectly on other browsers like chrome, Safari, and Edge. However, when attempting to Click here in mozila, the page remains blank and does not load at all. Additionally, I have noticed a persistent problem with reCAPTCHA. Even though I solve the CAPTCHA correctly, it repeatedly appears, preventing me from accessing the site. Details: Issue: Website not loading in Mozila firfox Browsers Tested: Chrome, Safari, Edge (All working fine)

Version: [26.0.6478.61/.62]

Operating System: [Windows 10] Additional Issue: reCAPTCHA keeps reappearing despite being solved correctly I have attempted the following troubleshooting steps without success: Clearing browser cache and cookies. Disabling all extensions. Checking the website on incognito mode. Ensuring Mozila is updated to the latest version. I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to resolve these issues. Thank you in advance for your assistance! Best regards,

This has been bugging me for ages. Happened on Windows 10 and now on Windows 11.

I start watching some video on YouTube or whatever, decide it's not useful/what I want, stop playing it, close the tab or navigate away, but if my device locks, the controls for this old, discarded video, that I didn't want to watch, are on the lock screen.

I wouldn't mind if it was a video I was currently watching but it's somehow remembering the last thing I started to watch. I can see no hint anywhere else that it's still active in any way at all.

The only way to get rid seems to be to close Firfox.

This is very annoying because it seems you can't watch anything without Firefox remembering it and putting on the lock screen until the end of the session, so it could be cluttering things up all day unless I close everything and (in my case, because of prvicy settings) delete cookies and log myself out of most sites.

I've tried multiple searches but all I've found here is a post about turning off media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled but I don't actually want to do that, I just want Firefox to forget videos when I've closed the tab or navigated away from them.

Elsewhere I found a suggestion to disable dom.media.mediasession.enabled but that setting isn't found.

Any help much appreciated.

I have two questions:

1. Will WASM and JIT be turned on or not affect the operation of RLBox?

I currently have the following about:config settings set to false, I'm wondering if this will cause the RLBox to not function?

javascript.options.ion javascript.options.baselinejit javascript.options.native_regexp javascript.options.asmjs javascript.options.wasm

I hope Mozilla staff will consider listing the operating status of RLBox in about:support, so that it will be clear at a glance.

2. Enabling "security.sandbox.content.shadow-stack.enabled" will cause add-ons to not function properly.

This setting seems to have been around for a long time. Is there any progress on this? Chrome has supported this feature for quite some time.

I would be grateful if you could help clarify this and inform me of the answer.

Back in October 2022, changes were made to how private windows appear, separating their icon in the OS taskbar, giving it a new icon, and putting a badge on the top right of the window.

At the time, support threads (such as this one https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1393494#answer-1542568 ) suggested changing three options to revert these changes: -browser.privateWindowSeparation.enabled -browser.privatebrowsing.enable-new-indicator -browser.privatebrowsing.enable-new-logo I really dislike how these changes look, and so immediately followed this advice. In my advanced options, every one of these is still set to "false" to this day. However, after a recent Firefox update (my current version is listed as 127.0), these no longer seem to have any effect making the new look the only option.

I would strongly prefer to at least re-combine the taskbar icons for standard and private browsing into a single icon. Is there any way to do this in the current update, or is this change permanent going forward? If it is permanent, would reverting to version 126.01 risk losing my current Firefox profile?

Unlike opening a regular new window or even just opening a new private browsing tab in an existing window, when I open a private browsing window, the address bar isn't auto-selected. I know I can use 'Ctrl+L' to select it but that's not a habit I've been able to train yet, and doing so would be much more frustrating than just using firefox in a more intuitive way. How can I change this? Is there anything that can be done? I can't find any relevant setting when digging into the 'about:config' section, nor in any of the regular app settings.

On a laptop running Windows 11, all videos I play in Firefox have been strangely dark and orange. Depending on their original appearance, this can make them unwatchable.

This only affects videos in Firefox, and only on this laptop. Chrome, Windows video player (and Firefox on my other devices) do not share this issue. The issue affects all monitors I connect the laptop to.

I have attempted: -A thorough search of Firefox settings and found nothing related. -Refresh and reinstall of Firefox -in about:config

   gfx.color_management.native_srgb to true
Confirmed ui.videoDynamicRange was set to to 0

None of these has helped. According to all the evidence I can find online, a similar issue was caused by a problem with HDR video files and fixed in an update 2 years ago, but I am running version 127.0 and am up to date.

Windows 10. Have used Firefox for years with no problem. Out of the blue, when Firefox is invoked, it comes up, but the screen dims after a few seconds, an the hourglass appears and Firefox freezes at that point. I have to use Task Manager to close it. I tried uninstall and that failed. Then I manually deleted the Firexfox program files. When I tried to install the program from Firefox, that failed as well with a window that pops and says there was a problem. Then the install window freezes (!) and again I have to resort to Task Manager to stop the program. What to do to get Firefox running again? Thanks. Bob Ochsman ochsman@gmail.com

I went to this site, no worries, nothing there but asks you to click...which you should not do. It says to copy the fix and paste it into the windows shell... sounds obvious, it's a scam. Except, this is a major funding company.

So the question is, is this legit from firefox? Or is that what? Go to myforwardsavings.com and you'll see what i mean. Or, see image i have included.

Hopefully someone up the chain in firefox can let me know. As i intend to report them if this is nefarious. Thank you.

My Problem: When I open any Dropdown for my Favorites (including the Bookmarks arrow on the left) it leaks past the Firefox Window and behind my Windows toolbar (When Using DisplayFusion only, more on that later). Some items then become unreachable: https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2024-06-15-08-17-53-5a6e2c.png

This does not happen with the settings dropdown. It correctly stops at the toolbar: https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2024-06-15-07-57-17-2e5d8a.png

What would fix the problem:

  • The behaviour of the Favorites dropdowns should be the same as the Settings one in my opinion.
  • I would be fine with dropdowns staying inside the Firefox Window at all time.

Note on the cause of the problem: Using the default Windows ToolBar makes the dropdown go OVER the ToolBar: https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2024-06-15-08-17-14-bc7e78.png

However, I am using a software called DisplayFusion that overrides Windows ToolBar for extra features and customization. The dropdown goes behind DisplayFusion's toolbars. I will also ask the devs on their side for a solution but I still think the dropdowns behaviours between Settings and Bookmarks on Firefox should be the same.

Thanks!

Hi folks,

I run a server which is ONLY accessible from my own IP address. I have a particular script on that server which deletes certain log and temporary data files at the end of a job run. I have a problem where those files being deleted WITHOUT me visiting the page !!

Somehow Firefox appears to be randomly visiting that page all on it's own, without a window or tab open which is then deleting the files at the wrong times without me doing anything.

I have put some tracking in the script and the http request is DEFINITELY coming from my IP.

The user agent is being reported as: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0

The page address is not being recorded in my browsing history.

How is this happening ? I only have 2 extensions installed: Tab Reloader and UBlock Origin.

Is there a way to track ALL activity that Firefox is doing so I can trace where this is coming from please ?

I'll point out that to my knowledge, this is ONLY happening on this specific page on my own server and not anywhere else that I am aware of. All my other scripts on that server have tracking as well, but none of them have been randomly run.

I need to track this down as right this moment I have the original script renamed and I'm having to use £%~£%&{ chrome to run it as I cannot trust FF NOT to run it !!!!

Any help would be appreciated.

I am currently using Ubuntu 24.04. I recently switched from the snap ubuntu package to using the firefox APT package. However, I've noticed this really weird issue. Whenever I download a file, it always seems to have the "file://" link or mime type.

Say for example I download an mp4 video, trying to open it via firefox results in a dialog asking me to "select which application i want to open this file link in"

I have tried refreshing firefox, and tried completely removing it from my operating system (a search of my entirety of / showed no traces of anything relating to firefox), but even after a clean install, the issue persisted.

The only way I found that can fix this issue is by using firefox nightly, or using the firefox flatpak. And I'd prefer to not use either.

I was monitoring the browser console, and upon clicking on the file in the downloads list, It seems that firefox gets this error:

Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: defaultButton is undefined

   _setInitialFocusIfNeeded chrome://global/content/elements/dialog.js:318
   _postLoadInit chrome://global/content/elements/dialog.js:332
   connectedCallback chrome://global/content/elements/dialog.js:149

dialog.js:318:9

This error does not occur on firefox nightly.

I believe I have troubleshooted this as much as possible on my end, and I'm unsure of what to do about this. Could I please get a bit of help?
