Since Firefox update 19.0,1 flightradar website freezes when I click on an aircraft...

Using brave browser no problems.

windows 10 laptop with windows security all updated.

Starting today I am finding it extremely hard to login to some websites. All Firefox does is just sit with a spinning circle after entering a user name and it locks up the browser to a point the I have to go to the Task Manager to stop the FireFox process. I have restarted my computer and refreshed FireFox. I have scanned my computer for malware using Norton 360, Malwarebytes, MSERT, and Windows Defender and all negative. I am having no trouble signing in to a site like https://my.account.sony.com using Edge but using FireFox now is impossible. This needs to be fixed.

This only happens when clicking a link from an email in Thunderbird most of the time it is a news platform. I have to copy the link and open a new tab in Firefox to have it work.

Title. I've followed every guide I've found but the issue still persists. I've created a new profile, reinstalled ff after deleting the whole file from my pc, deleted all cookies for a dozen times, disabled all extensions, started ff in that problem mode or whatever it's called and I still can't login to certain websites.

I type my login credentials, press "continue" and nothing happens.

I hate how much information Google gathers from their users but I used Chrome for five or more years and I never had this issue with their browser. Not once. Even now I constantly have to go back using Chrome because with it I have no issues logging in to the sites while on FF I just can't.

What is going on?

When I visit an http site and specify a non-standard port, it automatically changes to https, which is not a site redirect but something Firefox changes. This site already has an https service, and the http service will redirect to https. I reproduced the same situation in chrome. Accessing the http service with a non-standard interface was normal. After accessing the https service once, the service with the non-standard port was also changed to https. Clearing the data will restore it. Is this cached? My HTTPS-Only Mode is turned off, and set an exception for this site. thx.

When I open Vivaldi browser, the link in the address bar is highlighted right away. That's not the case in Firefox. Here I to either need triple click or use "CTRL A" The same is true when I open a new tab.

Is there a way to do that in Firefox?

Just installed Firefox (again) as I want to move away from Chrome/Edge. Overall I like it but having the following problems...

The 'Home' key on the top of my Thinkpad no longer functions. When using Chrome or Edge, clicking on 'Home' brings me to the top of the web page I'm looking at. Very handy.

For scrolling long pages, 'PgUp' and 'PgDn' are useful for scrolling sections at time.

But in Firefox, none of these are working properly. the 'Home button does nothing at all. I have used 'Fn+Left' and this works sometimes, other times it does nothing.

The Page Up and Down keys are hit and miss. Sometimes the Page Down button will take me to the bottom of the page, while the 'PageUp' will take me up for a section or two and then stop working.

I'd really like to stick to Firefox but this functionality is important for me and it's very annoying not having it working properly.

Any tips or help will be appreciated.

I got a new device and had to sign in and sync everything. When firefox asked about syncing I didn't realize it was asking about using the edge bookmarks to sync with. I tried to cancel but it was too late. Can I undo/remove firefox syncing to edge? Does this mean any changes in Edge will automatically change firefox now? I do not want edge bookmarks/settings. I want to get my old firefox settings back. If it matters: Windows 10 home on one device, Windows 11 on another. All browsers up-to-date.

I'm tired off spell check constantly saying I'm misspelling words because I'm writing in Danish, so I decided to download the danish dictionary for it, but it isn't working. When I right click on a "misspelled" word, it will only let me choose the default English (United States).

I have triple checked that I actually do have the danish dictionary downloaded an enabled.

The Firefox icon on my taskbar has a great big green number 1 plonked on it. It doesn't seem to relate to the number of windows I have open or the processes running. It's there even when Firefox is closed. I thought it might be messages but I can't find those either. Its driving me nuts can you please tell me how to get rid of it? I'm running it in Ubuntu on a laptop.

There is one domain that I get a "server not found" error for even after doing many things to fix it including everything here, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can#firefox:win10:fx119, checking blocked URLs in the registry, running malware checks, safe mode, reinstalling FF after removing all FF folders from my system.

Before I did a completely clean reinstall, disabling the Open H264 codec (see attached screenshot) would allow me to access the site. But thinking it was needed, I did the clean reinstall. Now disabling it does not allow access to the site.

So far, I have not found any other websites with this problem. It's a .edu domain which happens to be the one I work for! What else can I do?

When I try to watch video on YouTube or other places. I encounter green line and reverse picture. I have reinstall Firefox but it still persist. Can someone please help me understand how to fix it. As the video bug only happens in firefox. I understand that the "Bookmarks Menu" Icon (see attached pic) can be used and then: 2) "Manage Bookmarks" can be selected (to get to the "Manage Bookmarks" <selection> screen).

But is there a 1-click Icon solution to access "Manage Bookmarks" (other than the keyboard one)? Or is there a link address that would access the "Manage Bookmarks" screen directly?

I am having this issue where Firefox only keeps "Today's" history. I have thoroughly looked at the community's similar issue fixes.

I do not have Private Browsing on. I have set "Custom Settings History:

 -Remember browsing and download history
 -Remember search and form history

I do not have CC Cleaner or like apps and the one I do is on auto-manual and does not clear FF.

There is no reason for this. I would like to know when answering, what are a couple of likely causes for this. It appears by many queries here and on Google this has been an issue for years and FF seems not to want to fix it or know about it. Your help is appreciated.

As described in this thread (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1431159#answer-1618832), I had a problem accessing one particular domain after doing everything I could find to fix it. Setting DNS to Increased Protection fixed it. It's partly just curiosity but also concern that I'm asking if there is an issue that should be addressed.

The basic scenario: could not access one particular domain only in FF on one computer. No problems with FF on other devices and no problem with other browsers on the computer in question. Configuring DNS settings to Increased Protection is the only thing that allowed me to access that site (which happens to be the org I work for). So the setting is only necessary on this device and only for that domain.

What's the explanation or solution for ensuring I don't have other DNS issues, or something else, that will be a problem later?

I want to print a page. But without the header and footer stuff (because it is ugly and I don't want others to see the information). There are a lot of old pages here and on other places about how to do this. They are unfortunately all deprecated. What is the way to do this as of 2023? OS is Windows, btw.

UPDATE: when I use the troubleshooting method, i.e, WHAT HAPPENS is it appears to be trying to work, but it's on again, off again, with more than one extension appearing to be the problem. Very mystifying. The only time the problem is completely fixed appears to be when I close all the extensions. (So far.)

HELP!!!!

When I open YouTube, the search videos all show an image. Then when I select one, for the last two days now, that ("front page) image is gone - although the video plays OK.

When I us my Chrome browser the video I've selected begins playing the instant I open the video; even when I've opened the link in a new tab.

I get some crash reports *occasionally* - meaning not all crashes produce a crash report - but I'm not sure what to do with them, they seem inconclusive.
