Firefox version: 102.0 (64-bit) System: Windows 10 21H2

I recently downloaded a file that may have had some sort of virus or malware. The file came up negative in Windows Defender and Malwarebytes but I deleted it anyways; however, I still get a download popup every time I open Firefox telling me that "This file contains a virus or malware." I've cleared the download library and browser history (cookies, cache, etc.) but I still get the popup from the Firefox.

Is there any known fix for this? Thanks!

My company just pushed out new group policies for Firefox that blocks use of Firefox Sync. That also, apparently, blocked use of my saved logins and passwords.

I can find the encrypted password files in my profile: key4.db logins.json

but I can't open them.

Is there any way to get my login and password information?

Hello i've been having some problems on the latest software of yours i'm most of the time watching livestreams but from update v.100 of your software it became weird tab suspends after some in activity which is a problem for me

i found a solution through ABOUT:CONFIG and disabled these 3 for videos 1 - media.suspend-bkgnd-video.enabled 2 - media.resume-bkgnd-video-on-tabhover 3 - browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory

for videos and live streams it was good it didn't suspend but my problem now since update v.102 is that video plays but the CHAT stops and doesn't reload until i reopen firefox to the front of my programs

although it is runnning in the background and NOT MINIMIZED

even when the live stream has some lags and re-buffer it doesn't rebuffer or refresh the page to reconnect to the live stream until i force my firefox in front of my programs or games and again it was not minimized

if there is an option in the about:config to change this please tell me i'm already losing my mind as i missed one of my friends live stream because of that suspension

I have discovered a problem with Firefox updates when opening a Kaspersky Safe Money browser session.

In Firefox, Tools - Settings, Firefox Updates, it shows Firefox is being updated by another instance and the option to Check for Updates has been greyed out (screenshot attached).

When you use the Help, About Firefox option it also says that Firefox is being updated by another instance (see screenshot attached).

When you check the same Settings in the Safe Money 2nd session, it shows exactly the same information and you cannot update Firefox in any session.

In previous versions of Firefox, when you opened a 2nd session it said that Firefox was being updated by another instance and the option to Check for Updates was greyed out but you could still update Firefox in the main session.

This is not a problem when using Chrome or Edge so it must be related to Firefox so can anyone suggest anything to fix this or does it need Tech Support to look into it for fixing?

Please help me! Last week, was the victim of a computer scam. I called the 888# pop-up on screen. Looked so real w/MS logo and MS defender logo. I stupidly gave my IP address, name, cellphone #, (which I reported to MS fraud division and the FBI). (I installed a VPN, after the fact.) I can't believe I was so taken in by this guy.

  I went to my bank in person and gave them my new email address.  I tried to log in to my online banking today. Message "Secure Connection Failed. You are not securely connection to this site.Your connection to this site is not private. Information you submit could be viewed by others (like passwords, messages, credit cards, etc.) "
Now, I'm terrified that this scammer has access to my computer.
I'm afraid to access my online banking. He may even have access to my other online accounts, such as my cable, retail stores, etc. where I changed my email addresses and passwords.
Even if I can get "securely connected" how do I know I'm safe from these guys who have my IP address?
 What can I do?  Can someone please help me? Or make a suggestion as to where I can go to resolve this (if possible?

i get 'server not found' and 'try again' window when trying to access sites and even within sites if i manage to get on - after several 'try again' clicks

could this be related to recently installed fibre optics or do i have a virus - my anti-virus protection is bitdefenders

Greetings, I've checked a few articles in Firefox to help with my question, but none of them are helping. (Here's the main article: http://example.com.) Here's the situation. Say I go to a website's Contact page and click the button to contact someone, a window appears and asks me what app I want to use to open the email. Gmail is my default email, and Firefox is my default browser, and I use Windows 10. When I open the window of options (see attached screenshot) to open the email, and I then click "Choose Other Application" (other than Firefox), I don't see the Gmail app anywhere. I then followed the directions in that link above to check my Windows settings, per its suggestion, which I did ... but in those settings, too, I got to a point where the directions no longer matched what I'm seeing on my screen. I didn't see the Gmail app anywhere. Could you let me know in simple layperson's terms how to open Gmail links in Firefox? I don't have a PhD in computer science, so please keep it very simple. My desktop icon gave me a bad link error message, what happened to my forefox account? I upgraded, checked the save settings, and EVERYTHING is gone. All of my saved logins for several hundred sites. How can I restore them?

I have the problem with firefox AND edge, that when I want to log into my router, via 192.168.8.1, I receive message that an error has occurred or that it is not secure.

How do I avoid these messages? I have made rules in my Bitdefender to allow it, but still it does not work. Any suggestions how to be able to log into my router, is welcomed.

I lost my bookmarks when I changed my password. Can Firefox recover them on its servers? I've seen many similar complaints arising from similar problems. One would think that Firefox would address this issue to improve the user experience.

I reset the laptop and lost the bookmarks. It originally reset to Edge but I downloaded Firefox. I have gone to the square of horizontal lines, clicked on Bookmarks, Manage Bookmarks, Import and Backup, Restore. The only date that shows is today's date. What else can I try?

Firefox is set as my default email app in W10 - pls see uploaded image. I have tried to change it by using the options at the bottom of that default app screen. I use Sky Yahoo mail but I cannot change from Firefox. I want to set Sky Yahoo as my default email for W10.

Any help for this old novice much appreciated.
