For the past few days, when I try to log on to PlayStation on Firefox, the sign-in page sits on a loading swirl after inputting email. There's a clear memory leak shown on Task Manager. The menu bar's right-click doesn't draw properly. FF can't be closed and needs to be terminated. The only extension I have is uBlock Origin disabled for this site.

This website works on Edge.

Hello, I've got a reproduction issue on France TV live programs which I watch through nordvpn. The picture keeps "jumping" fast up and down in a very bothering way. This doesn't happen when the video is NOT live. I run the latest version of LINUX MINT. What can I do to fix it? The only way I found to stop the issue is to take down the resolution of the live video to its minimum which gives me a disastrous picture but stops the "jumping". I guess you might say there is something wrong with my GPU. The point is that my PC is brand new with an AMD 5600G, new MB, 16Gb of RAM and 500w of PSU. BUT more than anything I have to say that everything WORKS FINE with CHROME. I like FIREFOX I have been using it literally for decades now. (I'm 75). Is there a solution? Hi there, I have configured Firefox to remove cookies after closing it. At the same time, I have added some webs that I usually use as exceptions, allowing to remember cookies in those. However, I have the following question: if I reject all cookies except for the mandatories ones in a website that I added to my "remember list", does that mean that future entrances in that web will be with only essential cookies?

As an example, if I mark https://www.bbc.com/ as cookies, and the first time I enter I reject all non-essential cookies, next times I enter in the bbc will I be navigating with only the cookies I accepted on this first entrance? Or allowing a site automatically accepts all cookies?

For some reason my Firefox on my Mac and Windows computer won't sync even though I am using the same account. I would like my Mac to look the same as my Windows computer. I have tried logging in and logging out on both, all the basic fixes but nothing has helped.

To identify myself I had to scan a qr code on a website using my phone. This used to work in firefox but it doesn't anymore. It still works in edge. I'm using firefox 119.0.1 x64 on windows 11 home 22H2. How can I fix this?

I would like my Mozilla Firefox bookmarks to stay on the left side and my bookmark toolbar on the right side (just like it used to be). Now both Bookmark toolbar and Mozilla Firefox bookmarks are on the left side , and I can't even search a Mozilla Firefox bookmark using the search window.

Hello, I recently used my MacBook Air to connect with a projector for a classroom presentation. The presentation was using Google Slides. I adjusted the settings to optimize the presentation--setting the navigation and bookmarks bars to hide when in full screen.

I normally use my Firefox browser in full screen mode, but have the navigation bar and tool bar visible.

I cannot figure out how to undo what I did so that my navigation bar and toolbar are visible again when I am in full screen mode. Indeed, when I move the pointer to the top of the screen to make the navigation bar and toolbar visible, I cannot move the pointer back to the navigation bar or toolbar without it disappearing again. Essentially, I need to undo full screen mode.

Since pretty much the beginning of the internet, pop-ups were deemed a significant annoyance, so much so it diminished and ruined the users’ browsing experience and significantly reduced efficiencies. Hence the addition of pop-up blocking settings to all browsers long ago.

However, for some unknown reason Firefox gives Google a free pass and allows their “sign-in” pop-up that pop-ups seemingly on every website you visit where you then have to then manually close the pop-up on pretty much every single website you visit - even though you have the pop-up blocker setting on ( and the only way to turn off a pop-up blocker is to specifically add a website to allow for pop-ups).

This is absolutely horrible and not acceptable. If you have the pop-up setting on, no pop-up should be allowed to get through no matter what it is or the source. If you allow one pop-up to continue then you should be allowing hundreds of thousands of other pop-ups as well. But you wouldn’t as you know this would be unacceptable, but again, somehow Firefox allows Google’s pop-up to go through and it pop-ups on pretty much every single website you visit.

Note that I selected Privacy and Security Setting as the "topic" above as that is were Firefox has it's pop-up setting (and where you can add exceptions to allow pop-ups for specific websites)

A few days ago Ubuntu (22.04 LTS) showed me a message saying I can upgrade my OS (or something along those lines). I click on agree (any button that would let me proceed) and the upgrade took place (without restarting). Along with the upgrade Firefox was also updated to its latest version at the time (119.0). Since then, videos on Twitter play but without sound. On some other websites also none of the videos play. On YouTube, Firefox shows me a message saying "To play video, you may need to install the required video codecs" but the videos play fine; I haven't tried other websites but I assume all would have some issues. Google Chrome however doesn't have this issue and all videos play without any issues.

Note that I have not restarted my computer since the upgrade. I doubt this could be an issue but please let me know if you think this could be the issue.

I did the followings and restarted Firefox but none have worked so far for Twitter and some other random websites that I come across, but they resolved the issue for YouTube and now YouTube videos play, although I still get that codec message at the top of the tab:

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras sudo apt install libavcodec-extra

Someone told me this is because the default Firefox on Ubuntu 22 comes as a snap package and I should install the APT package manually instead so that it works. I prefer not to do this because I have lots of tabs open and have manually changed lots of the settings (including in about:config) that I want to preserve. I would also like to preserve the history of visited websites and keep the current cookies (don't really want to keep entering username/password on the same websites again). So the best way for me is to fix the issue for the default Firefox on Ubuntu 22.

Could you help me figure out what I should do to fix this issue?

Hi there, Last night I installed some new hardware into my PC, new motherboard and CPU for example. After that, I booted up the PC, everything worked completely fine and I was able to listen to Youtube / Twitch / Spotify etc. through Firefox.

This morning I boot up the PC, everything still works perfectly and I have audio coming from all other sources EXCEPT for Firefox. I have browsed every forum already but can not find anything that relates to me. I can't set my output device, since Firefox doesn't show up in the volume mixer. The tabs aren't muted. I have restarted Audiosrv and Windows Explorer several times. I have re-installed Firefox twice. I have tried booting it in safemode. All of the above hasn't resulted in a single second of audio. I am at a loss.

I accidentally hid the menu bar and toolbars (with an accidental keyboard shortcut, I think), and when I re-enabled them, now the tab bar is above the location bar instead of right above the content windows. How do I move it back? I can't find the "browser.tabs.onTop" setting in about:config, or any check box in the View menu, settings, etc.

I'm using Firefox 119.0.1 on Ubuntu Linux.

I've been using firefox for 10 years and this is the first time this is happening on me. Firefox was working fine but it does not work starting yesterday, simple task like opening and starting a new tab firefox took more than 20 seconds. None of the pages are showing anything, even those about:config pages are not working Every other browsers, like safari and chrome is working perfectly.

I tried to refresh, reset, safe mode, uninstall and deleted library/caches/firefox, library/application support/firefox, but the same problem still occurs.

My specs: macos 14.1. intel 13900kf, 6800xt, corsair vengeance ddr5 48gb, wd 850x ssd

hi, well I deleted and distrusted a certificate. now I'm trying to import the same certificate but it doesn't work. when i add the certificate i does not show anything on the certs list.
