My Firefox settings are configured to "Open previous windows and tabs" on Startup. This worked fine until this morning, when I lost all of the tabs in my session, including the pinned ones. The last time I closed Firefox, there was only one window open.

I have already tried these ideas to restore the tabs:

• CTRL+SHIFT+T: Does nothing
• CTRL+SHIFT+N: Does nothing
• Three bar menu -> History -> Recently closed tabs: The list is empty
• Three bar menu -> History -> Recently closed windows: The option is greyed out
• Three bar menu -> History -> Restore previous session: The option does not exist in the menu
• Open user profile folder and open sessionstore-backups folder: There are three files named "previous.jsonlz4", "recovery.baklz4" and "recovery.baklz4". They are each 2KB and contain only an empty tab with the URL "about:home". There are three additional files starting with "upgrade" but they are from too long ago, so they don't contain the tabs I require.

The contents of these tabs are vitally important for my work, so this is causing me significant stress. If anyone can suggest ways to recover my previous tab beyond the documented fixes, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much to anyone who can help!

We are using a website designed for Firefox, and when we use the "print" function within the website tool bar, on one of our PCs, it always defaults to a print preview which states "Printing from Win32 Application - Print". We have "print.always_print_silent" set to true, on this and all of the other PCs using the website, but only this PC has the issue. We can't figure out what is making it pop up the print preview.

Hello, How can we disable QUIC with the latest ADMX or via registry entry on Windows 10. I see not settings under ADMX that can assist in doing so. I dont mind implementing a registry entry in GPO as well.

I using kubuntu (ubuntu with kde) 22.04 and firefox will not recognize my security key. There is a really good thread on this here. It is now closed.

One of the solutions is to install firefox from the mozilla server. On other forums, this is referred to removing snap and installing the debs. I haven't tried this.

Reading through the thread however, it seems like the snap version should work. The manufacurers id and product code for my Thetis FIDO2 usb key are present in the etc/udev/rules.d/70-snap.firefox.rules

This answer says to disable apparmor. I tried that, but it didn't work.

This isn't actually a firefox problem. KDE Neon uses the firefox package from the Mozilla Team PPA and there's nothing wrong with that package. The problem is that Neon enables app armor on firefox which breaks access to password managers and security keys. sudo aa-disable usr.bin.firefox works around the problem by disabling app armor for firefox. aa-complain was not sufficient in this case.

How do I print a document from email, without the sidebar showing? It doesn't show up on the copy but it moves the document way over to the right with only 1/2 of it showing. I can add the short cuts I want but if I go someplace new Firefox will add it to my shortcuts without permission. This seems to be a new problem, and I don't like it! Then if I dismiss or delete from history its still not removed! Very annoying and may cause me to ditch Firefox for good!

I have a number of music clips I want to put in one or more playlists to use with VLC Media Player. How do I create such a playlist? (If I'm asking in the wrong place, I apologize.)

When I open a new tab, I can't automatically start searching anymore.

Now, I have to click into the search bar to type. That's annoying.

Hello! I updated FLOORP on the 5th May, FLOORP crashed and then Brave, Firefox, Waterfox, LibreWolf and Vivaldi started crashing. I had Brave and Vivaldi open when I launched FLOORP and FLOORP asked consent to update itself and after updating, it did not open in “previous session” and I could not open “previous session” through History. When I launched “Settings” from menu, “previous session” opened! I had pinned “Settings” earlier.

Now the bizarre happens; suddenly LibreWolf launches by itself also without “previous session” and open tabs in Brave and Vivaldi disappear to single New Tab. After some tinkering, I was able to restore “previous session” in LibreWolf, Brave and Vivaldi.

Now I close all browsers and open Firefox, no “previous session” and some random windows in its history, opening these random windows also opened “previous session”! 🙄But then Waterfox launches also without “previous session”, here clicking on OneTab extension recovered “previous session”.

Cutting short; I uninstalled, Waterfox, LibreWolf and FLOORP, this did not help, I ran System Restore twice to two different points and it has not resolved the issue.

Hi, I'm using Firefox 125.0.3 64-bit with Linux mint and some of the tiles on the homepage have disappeared I have selected 4 rows in settings but only 2 and a half rows show, I can remove all rows and select 4 rows again but only 2 and a half rows will show all the edit, pin etc, options are there and work and I can rearrange the tiles but if I dismiss a tile it disappears completely, any help much appreciated. please see added image.

This isn't the first time this has happened. After each occurrence, I have to completely uninstall the browser and reinstall it from scratch. This means I have to reopen all my tabs, which is very annoying. In Chrome, I have had a large number of tabs open for many years and it works fine.

With Mozilla, something terrible is happening... I have many tabs open in Mozilla, and there comes a moment when, upon launching the browser and opening two or three tabs, Mozilla starts consuming up to 10 gigabytes of RAM. If I open a few more tabs, the browser crashes. I don't need to open 50 or 100 tabs, just 7-8-10 tabs are enough to make the browser crash. Moreover, if I open a new tab and go to google.com, the browser takes a very long time to load, even if it's the second tab.

This problem has happened before. I don't do anything with the browser, just visit sites like YouTube.

Clearing the cache and other recommended actions do not yield positive results. This is very annoying. Mozilla is my first and favorite browser, which I have been using for almost 20 years. I wouldn't want to uninstall Mozilla.

Hi, Today I discovered that firefox has logged me out of every site. I checked the cookies and there were cookies.sqlite and cookies.sqlite.bak. When I delete the newly created cookies.sqlite and rename cookies.sqlite.bak to cookies.sqlite, I am logged back in to all sites and everything works fine. I notice that the cookies.sqlite.bak file is created when I go to twitch.tv. Can I check what is causing this problem and fix it somehow? I've already tried deleting the cookies just from the twitch.tv site, but that doesn't help.

The above New Zealand organization is recommending users to use any other browser than Mozilla Firefox. I have used Firefox for many years on their website and about two months ago it comes up with a recommendation to use another browser because Mozilla Firefox will no longer work on their NZ woke/local wank website. I contacted them to ask what the problem was and instead of answering the question they just repeated the message to change browser. I'm sure these local idiots are just being lazy/stupid so I'd like Mozilla to stick a rocket up their dumb-asses. As these twats are the local government lotteries commission I cannot partake of their monopoly online as they won't allow my browser. Please can Mozilla/community help? A few days ago I started having an issue where Youtube videos 1440p and up would frequently skip ahead, stutter or freeze and play audio only. They also stopped loading as quickly as they had before. This issue only happens in Firefox as when I watch Youtube on Chrome everything is fine. I've tried disabling extensions to no effect. Is this a known issue or does anyone have suggestions?

Hi Lots of my files on Mac have converted to Firefox (which I don't use) and will not open either in Mac, Adobe or Firefox. They are showing in my icloud drive but I cannot open them. And I REALLY need them as they are the source files for a website. I have no idea why this has happened, but would love some advice on how to fix it. I don't ever intend to use Firefox so not quite sure how it happened. Many thanks
