A little square used to pop up when I clicked on the searchbar on my iPhone, but it seems to have stopped doing this with the latest release. Can anyone please help me find it, or if it has gone, then please confirm to me?

I can still open QR codes by opening the Camera App first, but the Firefox QR code reader was always easier to use, and I just like it more!

Hi Ian,

I'm with you that Firefox QR code is easier to use compared to the camera app.

To help us investigate this issue further, can you confirm your iOS version? FYI, we filed a bug report here in case you want to track progress.

“I have this problem,” too!

Firefox 140.2 (57462)

Hi folks,

Upon investigating this a bit further, we realized that this is expected as part of the new tab tray experience we release starting from version 140.0.

Users with the new tab tray design will no longer see the option to scan a QR code directly from Firefox, as the feature was identified as having low usage.
