Moving numerous emails in one account

fhutt đã trả lời

I am using Thunderbird 152.0 in Win 11.

I am trying to move about 100 emails from one folder to another in the same account. 1. I have selected all those emails to move and dragged them to the new location. One email moves. 2. I have selected all those emails to move, right clicked and selected Move to/email account/different folder. One email moves.

These methods used to work and all emails selected would move. For some reason they don't move except one.

What am I doing wrong now?

Is this an IMAP account or POP3?

Who is your email provider?

Are these server folders or local?

No matter what the answers to the above are, it's possible that the folder index is corrupt. To repair it, right-click on the folder name, choose "Properties", then click the "Repair Folder" button. Do this to both folders in question. Follow up by Compacting the folders.

If this is an IMAP account, I would consider doing the operation on their web mail page. The changes will, in turn, sync to Thunderbird.

Thank you Lin. "Repair Folder" did the job. Well done.
