I took the free Windows 11 upgrade but I think Firefox sees my computer as Windows 10. Is there a problem?

Can you show what you're talking about for those of us not on windows? What version of Firefox? Windows home or pro?

Hmm the web browser UserAgent used to post this thread is blank. A Firefox 144.0 UA on Windows 10, 11 looks like Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:144.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/144.0

Windows 11 is basically based on the same NT 10.0 as Windows 10 as to why it can appear that you are using Windows 10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_NT#Releases

2/22/26, I am getting message from Firefox when I look at my account that support for Windows 10 is ending.

Will this solve my account showing Windows 10. Will those of use whose accounts show windows 10 be automatically changed to Windows 11.

I can find no place to change Firefox's info about what version of Windows I'm using. Have been using 11 for months - maybe years.

Again a Firefox UserAgent shows the same on Windows 10 and 11 as for example Firefox 147.0.4 on Windows 10, 11 shows as Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:147.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/147.0

As I said Windows 11 is basically built on same NT 10.0 as Windows 10 as to why some sites may think you have Windows 10 and not 11. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_NT#Releases

Perhaps when Microsoft actually makes a new version of Windows it will be based on a new NT.

There is no NT 11.0. at least not yet and if you were to modify your UA it would likely confuse some sites and or rather make for a more unique UA to be tracked by. The Firefox UA has gotten more generic over the years as there used to be build dates and the UA showing the minor update versions like 147.0.4 instead of 147.0
