My computer died today due to water damage, which means I can't turn it back on again. I got a new computer, I've looked all over the Firefox support websites, and can't find a solution as to how to get all of my Firefox data onto this new computer. I tried the profile page, but it looks like a profile for my old computer's Firefox never even existed. I have no idea where to find any of my old data.

I assume that the old hard drive isn't working as well? Do you have nay backups?

Were you using Sync on the old computer ?

Note that resetting the password for the Firefox Account because you do not remember the password will remove all data stored on the Sync server because this password is used to encrypt your data locally for security reasons before it is uploaded to the Sync server and only this password or a possible recovery key can decrypt this data.

You can install the About Sync extension to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension.

Close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for possible about pages).

Hi, I tried these things and it still seems to have no memory of my other device. I'm pretty sure it was synced, but since I can't revive it there's no way to be sure. Firefox on my new computer even seems to think my email is completely new to them, it's like they've completely forgotten my account.

Firefox account doesn't forget user accounts. Sync if the old data can't be accessed from previous computer sync probably deleted the data so there is no sync data that could be synced back to other devices. The original computer that had the data is what it sync to when syncing the data between devices and if it doesn't exist it probably deleted the data. So unless you can get that drive to another working computer to bring back the O/S the chances to get that data back will be almost impossible. To Transfer data locally requires the old computer working so you can do data migration to a USB or other storage and restore it back to the new computer. Sync isn't to be used as a backup system that isn't what it's made for - it syncs between devices with the data on the original computer or merges the data but if one changes password the data not matching will be removed. So Sync isn't meant for backup that is for doing locally data migration to prevent data loss. This is my understanding of sync.

You are using the same email address for the Firefox Account as used previously and haven't reset the password ?

Did you try the About Sync extension ?

Yep, same email, made sure not to reset the password, and I did try that extension. Didn't see anything except this version of Firefox I'm running on my new computer.
