Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Across from fonts and colors, press the Advanced button. On the bottom, turn on Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own.

There are windows on top of the page you are viewing. They are the source of the question marks.

Fred thank you again for superb support. That was the problem. The other windows that were open caused the overlay of the ???????? in the comment sections. I guess the only issue that is a little strange is that this problem just occurred recently and I know that in the past with perhaps an older version of Firefox, it did not seem to crop up.
